Happy 14th birthday to Xiao Luo! This year, it's finally my turn to personally release this set of birthday congratulatory photos. Previously, I always watched fans post their spontaneous celebratory artwork, so being able to personally get involved this year is a highly ritualistic experience for me as a coser. The silver-gray long hair of this styling is highly recognizable, and the double-loop buns on top of the head decorated with green ribbons and small white flowers took more time to style than expected. Fortunately, it ultimately presented a lightweight yet cute feeling.

Choosing to pair it with a cyan-blue and pink outfit, the outer cyan-blue fabric has an excellent texture under natural light, and the white dotted patterns along the edge of the skirt hem blend very cleverly with the silver piping and the overall color scheme. The detached large sleeve design really tests movements, especially the inner pink tulle ruffles, which create a highly flowing layered feel when blown by the wind. The high-collar design at the neck and shoulders, combined with green swirl patterns, the black-and-green waistband at the waist, and the hanging pearl chain ornaments, beautifully refine the layers of the clothing. This green bamboo flute prop in my hand was also specially sourced; its detailed green tassels echo the overall cyan-green dominant tone of the attire, so it doesn't look out of place visually.

The shooting location was selected at a cloister with Chinese-style columns. The gray flagstones and stone steps on the ground provide a strong atmosphere, and there are even some fallen leaves on the surface of the steps. This natural ACG outdoor location with a slight touch of coolness fits the overall temperament of this outfit perfectly. During shooting, it happened to be a soft natural light with diffuse reflection, without overly intense light and shadow contrast, which is highly beneficial for showcasing this fresh color scheme. The steps and movements in the photos were also carefully thought out, such as the first near-shot of leaning on the railing to say hello, or the full-body standing pose with a hand pointing toward the sky, and the relaxed state of sitting on the stone steps playing with the bamboo flute. The one where I sit holding the flute leaves a certain sense of space, which can both display the lightness of the clothing's lower hem and use the bamboo flute as a visual extension.

My greatest impression from doing this cosplay photography session is that when restoring a character with distinct colors and numerous details, the key lies in how the lines and colors of each layer of the costume remain orderly in the light. The contrasting combination of cyan-blue and pink can easily look ostentatious, but through the restraint of the gray-white chest-and-belly splicing and the black-and-green belt, it visually gains a sense of stability. The over-the-knee white socks paired with thick-soled brown Mary Jane shoes not only preserve the Chinese-style fantasy style but also guarantee convenience of movement during actual outdoor shoots.

For the post-processing, I focused on preserving the original gray tones of the entire scene without pulling the saturation too high. The dark areas were slightly brightened to make the gray-blue tone of the clothes clearer, ultimately forming this current slightly cool-toned airy feel. This set of photos was actually completed with a close friend, who helped me snap many natural moments. For me, it is not only a celebration for the 14th anniversary of the VOCALOID character but also a brief summary of my own character presentation. As a virtual singer, Luo Tianyi has many vivid settings and traits. During the shoot, I tried my best to keep my expressions and actions relaxed rather than being too stiff, making it easier to capture that aura close to the character itself.

Releasing this set of photos of the cloister and stone steps right at the anniversary node to record the look of silver hair with green ornaments and the cyan-blue and pink dress. There are no complicated dramatic plots, just quietly taking a set of fresh photos in the garden. For Xiao Luo's 14th year, having the opportunity to convey my heart through my own hand-crafted outdoor work serves as a small sense of ritual for myself on this path of roleplay. I hope there will be opportunities to unlock more different styles of this character in various scenes in the future.
