[2B Cosplay] NieR:Automata, Switching to a Summer Outfit for a Different Vibe

This photoshoot tried out 2B's refreshing summer look from NieR:Automata, perfectly matching the current seasonal feel. The overall styling incorporates suspenders, a halter neck, and mesh splicing elements, adding a breathable and cool feel while retaining the character's iconic identity. The main structure of the short black dress is based on the classic design, but with special tailoring at the hem and cuffs. In particular, the strap design at the waist strongly emphasizes body curves, and paired with black patent leather high heels, the visual balance is nicely elongated. The bottom layer of the skirt uses stiff black mesh for support, while the top layer is covered with decorative white scroll patterns; this embroidery section feels very high-end without looking cheap. The transparent mesh on the chest isn't just a single layer, but thoughtfully layered with subtle sheer effects, retaining the character's sexy signature while not appearing overly revealing. The off-the-shoulder ruffle cuffs look natural, and paired with short silver hair and a wide black headband, the entire upper body style is both sharp and refreshing. As for props, a heavy, detailed long sword was prepared. The hilt is not a simple plastic piece, but features fine silver hollow-out work and vintage distressing, feeling very solid in hand. To show the sword's sharpness, the blade intentionally reflected the studio lights during shooting to create crisp highlights. In terms of scene layout, a very refreshing color palette was chosen this time, mainly featuring a large light blue background wall, with white translucent sheer curtains hanging from above, paired with a plush white carpet below—the entire background conveys a cool summer vibe. Artificial green plants and colorful flower bouquets are scattered on both sides, enriching image colors without looking cluttered. High-powered studio lights were used for illumination, ensuring clear facial rim lighting. These theme colors of blue, white, and green form a strong visual contrast with the character's white hair and black outfit, highlighting the "Summer outfit" feel. During shooting, to show the character's dynamic tension and mature charm, several compositions from different angles were tried. The standing pose in the photos—raising the long sword with both hands while lifting one leg—required adjusting my center of gravity to stand steady; it took many takes to find the most natural state. The sitting poses showcasing leg lines also involved carefully adjusting the position of the stockings and garters to ensure a neat, sleek look on camera. The black thigh-high stockings have a higher density, presenting a matte texture under the lights that contrasts visually with the glossy black patent leather heels. The straps of the stocking outfit feature a black-and-white contrasting design with distinct layers; this combination demands strict light capture to clearly distinguish the boundary between skin tone and stockings. Summer temperatures are high, and the studio lights must remain on constantly, so wearing a black dress plus thigh-high stockings gets extremely stuffy and hot, with sweat being a regular occurrence. The height of the heels also put a lot of pressure on my ankles, but for the sake of great visuals, these experiences are a normal part of cosplay photography. Whether it's the lightness when swaying the skirt hem or the sense of power when holding the long sword, the black-and-white pairing comes out beautifully against the blue-and-white background. This kind of shoot is not only a tribute to the character, but also a challenge to my own expressive ability. Through precise costume restoration, scene matching, and pose direction, I tried to stay as close as possible to the impression of the character in players' hearts, while adding the specific seasonal element of "summer" to make the overall visuals look cold and sharp yet full of refreshing vitality. Maintaining a focused and natural state to present this style in front of the lens was the core goal of this shoot. Through this set of photos, I hope to convey that refreshing atmosphere of being immersed in the gaming world.
