[Rikuhachima Aru Cosplay] Tipsy in the Lounge, a Night at Problem Solver 68

This shoot took place in a textured, woody bar, where the dim lighting of the entire environment created a wonderful clash with the daily style of the president of Problem Solver 68. Before shooting, I actually hesitated about choosing an outdoor scene, but upon seeing this vintage leather sofa and the dazzling array of wine cabinets behind it, I immediately knew this was the perfect location. The warm light sources of the bar illuminated the wooden display shelves, and combined with the reflections from the dark glass bottles, it naturally brought out a lazy and mysterious undertone, which perfectly fit the theme of this portrait shoot.

The core of this look is that wine-red velvet tube dress. Velvet inherently carries a vintage and luxurious aura, and under the dim warm lights, the texture of the fabric reflects a soft glow that beautifully flatters the skin tone. To recreate that exquisite yet slightly proud feeling of the character, I specifically paired it with this pair of long white formal gloves. The gloves reach exactly to the upper arm with some natural folds at the cuffs, which significantly enhances the gorgeous feel of the overall styling. For accessories, I chose simple silver chain pendant earrings and a matching collarbone chain to fill the blank space around the neckline, preventing the large area of deep red from looking too dull. The wig took a lot of time to style; the pink hair color, signature bangs, side bun ornaments, and that highly recognizable complex headpiece composed of a white ring and black spikes were secured on my head for a long time before presenting the best angle—it almost became the soul of this Anime-style fashion.

During the shoot, I experimented with various poses to align with this lazy and charming vibe. For example, when sitting on the sofa holding a wine bottle, I wanted to express a feeling of being both casual and in complete control. The wine bottle prop was actually a fantastic addition; holding it in hand not only serves as a certain symbol of the character but also makes the hand gestures of the figure much more natural. There are also several photos of me leaning semi-sideways against the armrest, where the distribution of light was key—a beam of warm light hitting my face beautifully sculpted the 3D details of my eye corners and cheeks. We even captured a barefoot segment after casually kicking off my high heels, which served as a very down-to-earth, life-like touch in the photos.

For the makeup, I aimed for a look that resembled an exquisite porcelain doll but didn't lack a sense of vividness. The eye makeup used prominent eyelashes and eyeliner to enlarge the eyes, while the lip makeup didn't use a highly saturated bright red but instead opted for a dark red tone that echoed the velvet dress, unifying the overall color system while highlighting the advantage of cool fair skin. Now that the final photos are out, I feel that my efforts to maintain a straight posture and slightly raise my chin that day truly captured that innate confidence and composure of the character.

The photographer is highly skilled at capturing these emotion-oriented shots, and our coordination was quite seamless. During the shoot, to keep the dress smooth and flat, I repeatedly adjusted my sitting posture while keeping a constant eye on making sure the gloves didn't get dirty. White gloves in a dark environment are indeed a visual highlight but also a constant worry because they get dirty so easily, so during breaks, I had to repeatedly verify their cleanliness. However, seeing the final warm bar atmosphere, the exquisite outfit, and the tipsy lighting blending seamlessly together, I feel that all the hard work was completely worth it.

In this set of photos, I didn't deliberately emphasize the tension of actions, but instead focused on capturing some static, detailed moments. For instance, the moment when the gloved hand gently touches the cheek, or the look of holding a bottle while gazing up at the lens. Each photo carries its own unique emotion. Regardless of the outcome, this is another presentation of my understanding of the character as a cosplayer. I hope this style can let everyone see different possibilities of the character, and I hope friends who love this kind of bar atmosphere can feel my dedication in this Cosplay photography session of our Anime-style fashion.
