[Silver Wolf cosplay] Punklorde Maid doujin: Gray Short Hair and Giant Cat paw Showcase

This Silver Wolf cosplay Maid doujin shoot involved a lot of thought in equipment tuning and prop prep, especially the giant plush Cat paw gloves in front of me. When the wig first arrived, the overall length and volume needed adjusting; I used hairdressing shears and thinning scissors to cut layered straight bangs, and used hair curlers on the tips to maintain a natural curve for the gray short bob. A bit of styling spray was added at the roots to prevent the bangs from collapsing during the long shoot.

For the eye makeup, the focus was on the silver-gray colored contacts—large diameter lenses really help catch catchlights in the eyes. I blended pink eyeshadow generously across the eye sockets and lower eyelids, and redrew faux lower lashes with liquid eyeliner to make them pop straight out of an anime. The cat whiskers on both cheeks were drawn with a pink gel eyeliner pencil, perfectly matching the pink blush and highlighting the beast-girl Cat ears styling.

For the costume, I chose a white puff-sleeve maid blouse featuring classic ruffled neckline trim, accented with a slender black choker. The central prop of this set was the pair of giant plush Cat paw gloves; in hand, they were much heavier than anticipated, with huge interior space. This meant that while posing, I had to tense my wrists and press my palms against the cotton stuffing in the fingertips to keep the paws looking plump and adorable, rather than a shapeless lump of fur. Since the Cat paw gloves are massive, they could easily block my face or torso in the frame. So the original photo (Photo 2) used a high-angle downward perspective, lifting my hands to chest height so my face and paws created a cozy framing effect.

The shoot background was the gaming chair in my room with red and blue stripes, and the computer screen behind it illuminated with purple anime characters, creating a casual, slice-of-life ambiance. To keep the shot clean, I added a flash or fixed continuous light to brighten my face. The raw shots preserved authentic textures and shadows; in post-processing, I smoothed the skin evenly while keeping the garment texture. While the original was already complete, I designed a sticker-framed version for Photos 1 and 3—the screen full of pink and purple stickers amplified the cute little devil cat-girl vibe, shifting the overall aesthetic toward an anime merchandise showcase style.

The contrast of combining Punklorde with a maid motif felt genuinely fresh. Even though this is just a Maid doujin piece and the caption included an OOC apology, I feel the overall style struck a great balance between cool sharpness and cuteness. While shooting with the giant Cat paw gloves was tricky, they conveniently masked my lower-body outfit, so there was no need to worry about styling the bottom half, allowing me to concentrate fully on hand gestures and facial expressions. The whole shoot went very smoothly; although stuffing my hands into plush gloves built up quite a sweat, the final results were thoroughly satisfying.
