The inspiration for this shoot comes from the concept of "Angel Snake," using this opportunity to present a birthday gift for the character Mobius. In terms of theme, I blended the character, who originally possesses snake elements and a sense of mystery, with a pure and divine angelic form. Utilizing a golden apple, a snake, and broken Roman columns, I created an atmosphere akin to a mythical Garden of Eden, reshaping a unique aesthetic belonging to Honkai Impact 3rd.
For makeup and hairstyle, I chose her iconic pale gold long hair and a translucent-textured halo, striving to precisely recreate that aloof yet subtly approachable quality of the character. The focus lies on the outfit coordination; the dress pieces together pure black and white materials. Although the color contrast is stark, they transition smoothly into one another. The rhinestone embroidery and cutout patterns on the hem reflect delicate glints of light under the illumination. The golden snake-shaped accessory on my body serves as the visual anchor of the entire look, wrapping around the waist and abdomen to add layers and a sense of power. On my arms, I wore white half-sleeves with exquisite gold thread embroidery, paired with metallic lace-up sandals wrapping up to the ankles, leaving no part of the overall look redundant.
What satisfies me the most are the pale mint-green wings. Although the prop material itself consists more of layered sheets, under the cold-toned lighting on set, it presented a wonderful texture somewhere between feathers and plant leaves—lightweight yet retaining the tension of wings. This color adds a bit more vitality than pure white, fitting perfectly with the character's core theme of life force.
The shooting process actually tested my physical endurance more than expected. To showcase the ethereal feel of ancient mythical ruins, the studio was filled with real greenery and simulated lawns, alongside a large amount of draped white cloth. The broken fragments of the Roman columns were arranged neatly yet organically. For the standing poses, I had to constantly mind my posture to complement the high-slit skirt; for the sitting and lying poses, I needed to properly adjust the extension of both wings and limbs. The half-lying pose in Photo 3 is actually very precise. In front of the camera, I needed to maintain a naturally spread-out state of my limbs, allowing the curves of my body and the spread wings to form a visual balance. At the same time, I had to firmly hold the golden apple prop with my fingertips, making sure neither it nor the golden snake on my body shifted out of place, which required high body control.
The creation of the atmosphere is largely credited to the lighting on set. The cool blue-green main light made the entire scene look serene and deep, as if detached from daily clamor. By adjusting angles multiple times to let the highlights fall on the cheeks, shoulders, neck, and legs, we successfully highlighted the sleekness of the skin and the details of the outfit. The five sets of different poses shot this time—whether the luxury of standing, the laziness of sitting, or the relaxation of lying down—all attempted to capture that special aura of the character: lofty yet approachable. During post-processing for all the photos, I deliberately avoided excessive skin-smoothing and vivid color saturation to preserve the original cool and divine texture. Although the entire process required repeated adjustments of poses and props, looking at the final images made it feel completely worthwhile. It was a highly ideal creative experience.
