[Elysia Cosplay] Full of Genki Energy in the World of Honkai Impact 3rd, Already Exhausted and Dizzy at Jinan Huanying

This day at the Jinan Huanying ACG Expo truly used up all my physical stamina, and now I'm completely in a state of being "exhausted and dizzy." Looking at my condition in the photos, I seem pretty energetic; after all, once I put on Elysia's iconic pink wig and bright blue colored contact lenses, I have to instantly switch to that genki-filled state.

Although this Elysia makeup and styling looks sweet, it actually tests one's foundational skills. The wig has that kind of hair strands with glitter, and to maintain that glowing effect at the convention, styling and combing it take quite a lot of thought. To reproduce her highly piercing gaze, the choice of contact lenses and eye makeup technique were specially adjusted; the eyeliner and eyelashes need to be distinct enough, but without looking too forced. Cutting the straight bangs on the forehead to just the right position is really critical—too long blocks the view, while too short lacks the right vibe. To make the snapshot angles look better at the convention site, I also intentionally loosened the curves on both sides of the hair, which beautifully frames the face and makes it look more three-dimensional.

For the outfit, the white ruffled headpiece and top were chosen in a relatively stiff fabric, so it wouldn't easily wrinkle into a mess after walking around all day in such a crowded convention environment. The puff sleeves on the shoulders actually have very fine invisible supports inside, keeping a fluffy silhouette at all times. The small gold accessory at the collar might look inconspicuous, but once adorned, the overall detail quality is instantly elevated. Throughout the event, wearing layers upon layers combined with the stuffy air inside the convention center truly made me sweat profusely. However, when seeing many fans and friends on-site recognizing this look and passionately calling out the character's name, that sense of exhaustion seemed to be instantly healed.

The atmosphere at Jinan Huanying today was exceptionally good. Although it's not the kind of exhibition with the largest main hall area, everyone's interactions were highly active. Many other cosplayers also did other characters from the same work, and a few people even ran over insisting on taking a photo together—that feeling of being recognized is truly wonderful. But the price was... when taking off the makeup back at the hotel in the evening, I felt like my face didn't even belong to me anymore, and my eyes ached terribly when removing the fake eyelashes. I sat on the floor for a long time not wanting to get up, relying on a single breath of energy to finish processing these convention photos.

This is probably the charm of Casual cosplay. No matter how much your physical energy is overdrawn, as long as you face the camera, you can present the character's most perfect side. Since these were photos taken casually on-site at the convention, no particularly gorgeous or complex scenes were set up, but I actually feel that these relatively casual snapshots look more like real life. If everyone runs into me at the convention, they can also see my more authentic state. Many people ask me why I like to cosplay characters with pink hair; it's probably because pink always gives off a romantic and dreamy feeling, and with the built-in glitter effect of this hairstyle, it truly turns out amazing under the convention's overhead lighting.

The white ruffled headband on my head is very sophisticated; to prevent it from sliding off, a non-slip treatment was carefully applied inside, avoiding any "epic fail" incidents during the hustle and bustle of the convention. The contact lenses were only tried on the night before the expo because blue contacts can indeed get dry easily after wearing them for a long time. For today's full-day endurance, I also carried eye drops in my bag. Smiling at the camera all day on-site, even though my facial muscles were already stiff, as long as someone shouted "look over here," I could still instantly perk up. This sense of contrast is also a unique experience exclusive to conventions: glamorously radiant on the surface, but privately so exhausted that I just want to roll around on the floor.

In addition, several cosplayers who did the same character as me crossed paths at the expo today; everyone had their own style, which made me very happy. This healing feeling of fellow fans gathering is the driving force that supported me in traveling all the way to Jinan. I feel quite satisfied with today's convention photos myself; although the technique isn't mature enough, I captured that gentle and playful atmosphere of the character. Because the makeup was worn all over the place on-site, it was slightly oily, but that didn't hurt the overall look—it actually added a bit of human warmth. Tomorrow I'll say goodbye to Jinan. I don't know how long it will take to recover my genki energy after going back, but being able to leave this memory of Elysia Cosplay in this city makes all the traveling entirely worth it. Right now, I just want to lie down quickly, as I barely have the strength left even to remove my makeup.
