This white and blue color-matched costume was envisioned for the greenhouse theme before the final design, and today's cosplay photoshoot mainly aims to present that leisurely yet exquisite atmosphere of Fontaine's afternoon. We set up a vintage metal bed frame and a large amount of white and pink floral art as the background, paired with European tea sets; the overall visual aligns beautifully with the character's lightweight feel.
Let's chat about the costume's design details. This white strapless waist-cinching dress features highly exquisite button rows at the waist and abdomen, with light cyan 3D flowers embellishing the sides and chest. Compared to purely flat cuts, this multi-layered structure makes the upper body look more three-dimensional. The combination of detached wide sleeves and semi-translucent white tulle forms a natural drape during arm movements, especially when raising hands to fiddle with the beast ear headpiece, where the fluttering of the cuffs can beautifully soften lines. Regarding accessories, multi-layered pearl necklaces echo the ruffled leg rings at the wrists and ankles; adding these minor items not only enriches details but also endows the overall look with the exquisite touch of Lolita style.
Beyond the costume as the core of styling, the adaptability of hair and makeup is also crucial. The wig selected a silver-white base with a light cyan gradient at the hair ends; this cool tone harmonizes perfectly with the blue ribbons and flowers on the dress. The fluffy plush beast ears on top of the head serve as a highly core cute point, which, paired with the two light blue ribbons hanging from the top, beautifully concentrates the visual center on the head. Accompanied by light-colored contacts, the eye makeup didn't intentionally elongate the eyeliner but focused on blending and brightening around the eyes, making the gaze look softer and more agile against the backdrop of the plush beast ears.
Inside the arranged greenhouse photography scene, I actually didn't want to make my poses too stiff. Whether sipping tea while holding that European porcelain set or looking into the lens with a bouquet, I tried my best to maintain a lazy and relaxed state. The vintage metal bed frame and white sheets in the scene create a comfortable home style, and the fluffy long-pile carpet outside lets one stand barefoot without any stress. Several clusters of flower piles nearby are arranged neatly, just right for creating layers of foreground, midground, and background, making the reflection of light hitting the sheets look soft enough.
The key to cooperating with the photographer during the shoot was capturing natural demeanor without intentionally squeezing out expressions or forcing poses. Properly adjusting the legs' position to reveal the ribbon leg rings on the ankles or gently touching the collarbone with both hands can increase the breathing room in the frames. In post-color grading, we deliberately maintained a relatively high brightness and low contrast, making the white dress appear clean and translucent, without over-editing to pursue cold white skin, but instead keeping light and shadow where they should be.
The greenhouse theme photoshoot process was highly pleasant. Fusing the costume, props, and scene together formed the final visual quality. This fresh and elegant style truly fits the character's setting, leaving me quite satisfied with this finished product. I hope the relaxed nature of this set of photos can pass down a relaxing visual experience to those who see it through professional anime-style photography.
