This blue-and-white maid outfit was custom-tailored by a highly experienced tailor. From selecting fabric patterns and shaping the collar's ruffled arc to adjusting sleeve ribbons and glove fit, every single detail was refined through countless back-and-forth discussions. The moment I received the finished garment, feeling the rich texture of the lace and fabric made every bit of waiting worthwhile. Sliding into it, the tailored cut hugged my silhouette while maintaining a fluffy volume, instantly maximizing the maid's tender and elegant charm. Combined with the silver-white wig and blue eye makeup, the character immersion was incredibly strong.
The shoot was held in a classical European-style indoor studio featuring carved white Roman columns, warm crystal chandeliers, meticulously arranged blue-and-white faux flower displays, a gold-trimmed white European sofa, and translucent white drapes. This setting pulled us straight into a dreamlike fairytale world. A special thanks to photographer Shi San—he truly knows how to catch soft diffuse reflection light. The entire photo set is illuminated with brilliant clarity, keeping skin tones looking natural without harsh shadows. Throughout the shoot, he patiently guided our angles and captured our candid interactions, doing justice to that languid yet noble ambience.
This session was a team shoot for the Royal Maid Team, and our synergy was seamless. Sister Ge's Formidable cosplay was stunningly elegant, standing in the center with an effortless, calm presence; her outfit featuring a black sheer veil and feather accents was easily the most opulent among us. Vector Fish's Little Belfast cosplay was refreshing and adorable with just the right touch of playfulness, while Yujing's Sirius cosplay was crisp and dashing. Many interactive poses in the photos were ad-libbed on set—such as me in my Dido cosplay crouching to tidy trailing skirts, or Little Belfast holding a comb to tease out smiles. Every close cuddle moment reflected our genuine joy. Though squeezing together on the sofa made posing a bit cramped at times, it made the moments feel even more authentic and natural.
When the photographer sent over the final edited photos, I was truly moved. In cosplay photography, costumes, set designs, lighting, and human emotion are all indispensable—and this time, we were blessed with a group of like-minded partners. The custom-tailored dress honored every overnight refinement, making all those aching arms from maintaining grace in the studio all day completely worth it. Being able to capture such memorable images as Dido alongside Little Belfast, Formidable, and Sirius is a deeply cherished memory. Whether considering the dedication in hair, makeup, and props or the palace-like grandeur preserved in post-processing, this photoshoot stands out as one of my absolute favorite and most treasured group sets of 2026.
