The actual wearing experience of Changfeng's maid outfit was much more complex than expected. The black and white color contrast of this Azur Lane costume is very distinct, with the upper body featuring a pure white puffy sleeve design, sleeve cuffs embellished with golden lines, and a black cincher-style splicing on the chest, tied with a black bow in the middle. The black high-collar choker on the neck is an independent accessory, which has a clear modification effect on the neck line once worn.

To ensure the shooting effect, the skirt part is made with a two-layer structure: the outer layer is a white ruffled apron, and the inner layer is a black pleated skirt. When walking or making movements, the black inner layer will be exposed, and the edges also feature golden patterns. A red tassel knot is hung at the waist; this detail is very eye-catching amidst the overall black and white cool tones, adding a bit of traditional element.

Speaking of the lower body pairing, the pure white stockings are one of the core visual points of this styling. Many fellow fans asked me if wearing white stockings for shooting would make legs look fat or prone to snagging. Actually, as long as you choose the right thickness and material, coupled with the lighting coordination during shooting, white stockings can instead modify the leg shape very well. The pair I wore today has a moderate density, and under indoor lighting, there is no fake-white feeling, plus the elasticity is sufficient, making dynamic poses like the single-leg lift in picture two completely stress-free. The matching black flat leather shoes have a patent leather gloss on the surface, and the black-and-white contrast with the white stockings is visually very comfortable.

In terms of props, the horsetail whisk held in hand was a style decided upon only after a long search. The wooden pole has a very solid handfeel, the top is a gray plush ball, and a white cloth cover with lace and gold edges hangs below. The overall ratio has been adjusted so it doesn't appear top-heavy.
\today's shooting scene was chosen in a studio with a bamboo forest background and Chinese-style wooden furniture. I was originally worried whether the styles would clash, but the result was surprisingly good. The black pleated skirt edge and the bamboo background unexpectedly matched, creating a magical atmosphere combining Chinese and Western elements.

Regarding the wig, to fit the original design, trimming and styling took a lot of time. The brown long straight hair plus blunt bangs needed to be groomed very smoothly, and the low twin-tails tied on both sides easily wrapped around the lace of the puffy sleeves when turning around, so during shooting breaks I was constantly straightening out the hair strands. In terms of makeup, the red contact lenses are the finishing touch, which, paired with the overall black and white maid outfit, can enhance the character's recognizability.

For picture one, I chose a posture of raising the right hand in a salute. This action can well showcase the fluffiness of the puffy sleeves on the upper body, while also clearly displaying the overall silhouette of the white dress. For picture two, I wanted to express a more lively feel, so I designed a posture of lifting one leg and making a gesture. This posture requires a certain amount of core strength, and also needs to maintain body balance while allowing the skirt hem to spread naturally, showing off the layering of the black and white double-layer skirt. I adjusted the angles in front of the mirror several times before shooting to ensure the proportion of the white stockings in the frame is harmonious, and also to avoid large movements causing the costume to lose its shape.

Combined with the theme of this 2026 Naval Port Midsummer Cool Festival, the maid styling of the character Changfeng indeed brings a cool and friendly feeling. I kept adjusting the angles of the props and the wrinkles of the skirt on site to ensure every photo could perfectly present the details of the clothes and the state of the character. Although the whole process was tiring, seeing the final photos made me feel that everything was totally worth it.
