I prepared and completed this photo set recently using my precious weekend time. With a packed work schedule during the week, it's rare to carve out a full day off, so I really wanted to quickly bring the concept I had in mind to life. As mentioned in the post, these photos are indeed somewhat Heavily photoshopped. I generally lean toward refined, polished textures when retouching, and given the extensive effort put into the costume and wig details this time, achieving the desired finish required multiple rounds of tweaking before settling on the final look.
As a typical working professional, my free time is genuinely scarce. Sundays and statutory holidays are essentially my only breathing room. Planning any cosplay means mapping things out well in advance—cramming costume sourcing, makeup trials, shooting, and retouching into limited rest days. Often by the time a set is fully edited, the weekend is already over. Still, because of pure passion, it never feels like a chore, though time always seems to slip away too fast.
I've always wanted to shoot at Comic City and Diwang. Comic City usually has a fantastic gathering atmosphere, where meeting fellow fans, snapping photos, and chatting feels so relaxing. Diwang, on the other hand, offers diverse commercial backdrops, making both location shoots and grabbing a casual bite afterward very convenient. I’ve visited solo a few times, but cosplaying with companions would make interactions and compositions far more dynamic, not to mention helping each other watch over props.
This post is mainly to Expand friend list with fellow fans, especially anyone interested in Wuthering Waves characters! If any girls want to team up—whether heading to Comic City or Diwang—you are more than welcome. We can discuss garment tailoring tweaks or exchange techniques on wig trimming and styling. We could also carpool to venues or even book a studio together. Having a partner makes sharing makeup and styling advice so much easier.
I’ve been involved in cosplay for a while now and have developed some solid insights into costume details, wig maintenance, and post-production color grading. Even if you are completely new to cosplay, there's no need to worry—we can learn and improve together through communication. Being Heavily photoshopped is totally fine; after all, everyone simply wants to showcase their best, most satisfying self.
