At the Pizza Hut collaboration event with Fate, I didn't manage to grab the curry umbrella, so I decided to do a Jeanne d'Arc (Alter) cosplay to make up for it. The shoot took place right inside the collaborating Pizza Hut store, where countless Type-Moon fans gathered in an incredibly lively atmosphere.
For this styling, I intentionally blended Jeanne d'Arc (Alter)'s iconic elements with a maid outfit aesthetic. The dress came in a blue-purple hue featuring a cut-out waist and a hem lined with black ruffles. The highlight of this outfit was the exposed waistline from the side and back; to keep it looking crisp without riding up, I secured it carefully with body tape. On the lower half, I wore black over-the-knee socks—the natural slimming contour of Black stockings combined with chunky strap heels visibly elongated my leg proportions even without any filters.
The makeup and hair required meticulous attention: the silver-gray wig had to be styled with a fluffy, slightly disheveled volume to match the character's aura. For eye makeup, reddish eyeshadow paired with crimson contact lenses instantly made the gaze pop. While posing, I maintained slightly squinted eyes or a subtly parted mouth to add a more dynamic, lively expression.
During shooting, the collaborating Pizza Hut was decorated with standees and red poster backdrops. I initially worried the red-and-blue color contrast might look chaotic, but on camera, the warm tones complemented fair skin tones beautifully. Interacting with the pizza box prop allowed me to strike various natural poses, such as holding the box overhead or pretending to hand it toward the lens. The low-angle upward shot was chosen specifically because it greatly accentuates leg length while creating depth against the background standees.
A small incident happened during the shoot—someone impersonating the photographer tried to add me, so everyone please stay vigilant! Sincere thanks to Xiaomai Fentiao for on-site directing and crisp color grading in post-production, truly doing justice to this exquisite outfit.
Even though I missed out on the famous curry umbrella, shooting this new look in such an atmospheric collaboration store was a wonderful experience. Sharing my experience here in hopes that everyone can capture great cosplay photos next time and enjoy the joyful vibes of the Fate and Pizza Hut collaboration together.
