Under the warm light of the piano and the reflection of a vintage bronze mirror, the texture of this white tulle skirt was captured just right by the lens. As a coser focused on restoring game character details, when preparing this Pure White Wedding look for Xiao Qiao from Honor of Kings, I focused more on recreating that gorgeous yet sweet atmosphere, sacred yet playful. Material selection and tailoring of the costume were key considerations this time; to support the ceremonial feel of the wedding dress, the headpiece featured an exquisite crown embedded with pearls and red gems, flanked by soft pink feathers, striving to restore the essence of the character design in profile.

However, the shooting difficulty of this outfit also exceeded initial expectations. The outer layer of the skirt is a fluffy umbrella-shaped structure pieced together from multiple layers of thin tulle, featuring custom gold line patterns and translucent leaf-shaped lace appliqués. Once moving, the layering of the skirt becomes especially rich. Especially the yellow three-dimensional roses at the waist; to ensure the gold coating of each petal wouldn't reflect light and distort, the lighting angles during photography required repeated adjustments. In that calm atmosphere before the piano, wanting to showcase the lively feel belonging to an Honor of Kings character actually required relying on gaze and body movements to break through the heavy weight of the environment.

This time, a few different interactive compositions were shot, such as the first picture waving to showcase the sleeve design, and the posture of slightly tilting while holding flowers, all aimed at showing that stage-play-like tension. However, my personal favorite is still the third sitting posture frame, gently lifting an angle of the skirt hem, which not only fully reveals the light blue star lining and lace trim inside the skirt, but also highlights a bit of agility and playfulness while ensuring elegance. The Pure White Wedding theme itself has high requirements for sitting posture and poise; during shooting, I always intentionally kept an eye on the crown's height and the horizontal line of the piano keys, maintaining softness and naturalness in facial expressions.

In terms of makeup, to fit this wedding look, I used low-saturation blusher and lip color with a natural gloss to echo the purity brought by white lace and pearls. For the eye expression, I didn't choose an overly mature gaze, but rather a slight smile and gentleness, because the character Xiao Qiao inherently possesses a girlish spoiled petulance and innocence in the world of Honor of Kings. Combined with the warm-toned light and shadow refracted by the crystal chandelier in front of the piano, the silhouette reflected in the mirror greatly enriched the depth of field, giving the entire piece a warm texture reminiscent of old photos.

Many players hold deep feelings for this Pure White Wedding skin, so when customizing the costume, I specifically emphasized the hidden patterns on the white fabric and the ruby details at the neckline. From the lightness of the sleeve covers to the stacking height of the skirt hem, everything was finalized after multiple fittings and adjustments. Putting on this outfit in the vintage piano environment easily gives people the illusion of being immersed in a game CG animation. cosplay is not just about wearing similar clothes, but conveying the character's emotions and aesthetics in a specific scenario to the audience. To this end, I stood, turned, and pretended to lightly stroke the piano keys in front of the lens, trying out a great many angles.

Even though the shooting time lasted for hours, seeing the soft lace corners, hidden patterns fitting snugly against the hands, and the gradient fusion between light and shadow in the final finished photos made me feel that all the serious preparation was worth it. I hope that through this pure and minimalist light/shadow processing and scene construction, I can break some people's stereotypes that game character cosplay is merely a two-dimensional image, allowing it to present a tangible, touchable artistic aesthetic. This work pursues subtraction in terms of visuals, avoiding redundant clutter in the environment, instead relying on the character's own makeup, styling, and temperament to support the entire frame. Combined with the strong color contrast between the piano's black keys and the white tulle skirt, the main subject instantly captures the center of attention.
