[Arknights cosplay] CICF Convention Live Recap: The Collision of Black, White, Gold Aesthetics and the Harp

Attending the CICF anime convention this time, I finally brought this long-prepared coordinate to the floor.

The wardrobe design is rich in layered construction. The outer layer features an expansive white robe with puffed treatments at the sleeve cuffs. The base layer is a predominantly black dress embellished with geometric white diamond line motifs. The most eye-catching accent is the rigid golden high collar along the neckline, detailed with fine embossed reliefs, complemented by a cluster of openwork diamond metallic ornaments suspended from the bust down across the midriff. Spliced along the lower hemline are flowing layers of deep and sky-blue gauzy tulle, creating an ethereal flutter with every step.

On the prop side, this harp was undoubtedly the centerpiece of the entire styling. It features a white outer frame, black body contours, and alternating gold-and-white decorative studs. The strings are actual cords, providing authentic tactile tension when plucked. However, the prop itself carried noticeable physical weight, and combined with the black spiked structural piece mounted behind it, walking through the crowded convention hall demanded extreme caution—both to avoid bumping into passersby and to prevent accidental breakage to the delicate parts.

For hair, I went with waist-length straight black hair with blunt bangs, subtly interwoven with silver-white tinsel thread to produce delicate specular glints under the sunlight. In terms of makeup, I deliberately deepened the periocular dimensions, applying pinkish-red eye shadows and defined false eyelashes paired with light brown cosmetic contacts. A soft rosy flush was swept across the cheeks, finished with a subtle beauty mark dotted at the corner of the eye. This richer convention makeup held up effortlessly against harsh outdoor illumination, harmonizing seamlessly with the black, white, and gold coordinate.

The shoot took place outdoors, where the ground featured reflective tiling framed by metal handrails and white architectural canopies in the background. The twilight atmosphere and cool-toned venue lighting lent the captures a compelling cinematic aura. Throughout the session, we explored standing poses, seated compositions, and varied hand gestures, working in harmony with the harp showcase to highlight the garment's distinctive tailoring from multiple angles.

While walking the show floor all day in this coordinate was physically draining—especially holding postures with the weighty prop, which left my arms quite sore—seeing the final selects made every bit of effort worthwhile. The on-site set design and lighting conditions converged just right, yielding photographs rich in texture. Sorting through these convention photos serves as a wonderful personal archive of this extended phase of preparation and craftsmanship.
