To embody the emotional bond blooming at the edge of void in ALIEN STAGE, we intentionally designed a high-contrast lighting arrangement in the studio. Mizi's black demon wings and Sua's white angel wings created an arresting chromatic tension. The sharp, clean cut of the pink short bob paired with a black lace choker, juxtaposed against a pure white lace dress, materialized their dynamic—simultaneously polarized yet profoundly intertwined. Sculpting the wigs and anchoring the hair ornaments demanded immense effort; the layered black ends needed continual teasing for stylized, comic-like sharpness, while the pink wig required meticulous smoothing for a clean, natural drape.
To convey the desperation of reaching for one another, we choreographed extensive physical contact throughout the shoot. For instance, the staggered composition seated upon the white Roman pillar in Photo 4 required arching the insteps to keep leg lines fluid, balancing against the heft of chunky platform shoes, which proved physically taxing whether seated or standing. In Photo 3, being enveloped beneath a translucent white veil leveraged sheer textiles and strong backlighting to conjure an ethereal, hazy reverie. The blue-violet-pink gradient ambient backdrop was the crown jewel of our stage design: reflections on the floor and scattered red rose petals, elevated by our intersecting gazes and tangled postures, gave the frames expansive narrative depth. Lateral rim lighting grazed hair tips and wing contours, bestowing a distinct, sculptural 2D depth.
Regarding styling details, the black over-the-knee socks and white lace thigh-high Stockings echoed the overarching monochrome dichotomy, while chunky platforms anchored visual weight to ground the framing. Synergy with my partner @ice沙 was effortless. Perfecting the pose in Photo 6—where dark-haired, white-clad Sua reaches out to touch the forehead of pink-haired, black-clad Mizi—channeled an interplay of divinity and demonic allure, requiring pinpoint control balancing detachment with tenderness. Fine-tuning micro-expressions and camera perspectives demanded hours of scrutiny, refining details from makeup touch-ups to every single frame's framing. I hope everyone feels the heartfelt devotion poured into this visual design.
