Today I'd like to share this cosplay work of Riko as a white tiger girl cosplay. The overall style combines 2D kemonomimi girl elements with a Traditional Chinese style Qipao. Starting with the headpiece, a silver wig with some black highlights was used this time to echo the tiger's stripes, paired with black-and-white plush kemonomimi girl ears on top of the head, and fairly large golden bell hair accessories hanging on both sides, looking very substantial. In terms of makeup, the eye makeup used reddish eyeshadow and eyeliner, matched with blue-gray contact lenses, and the lip color chose a glossy red, all designed to highlight a vibe that is both enchanting and agile.

The clothing part is a black modified sleeveless tight Traditional Chinese style Qipao with a mandarin collar design. Golden lines outline the chest and waist, and some areas are spliced with black sheer mesh to add a bit of breathability. A white plush shawl wraps around the shoulders and neck, adorned with small golden paw prints. The hem is relatively short, so the lower body pairing is very important. I wore white translucent over-the-knee socks with exposed toes, and tied a thin red rope around my right thigh with a small golden bell hanging on it, which rings when walking. The long and fluffy tiger-striped tail behind me is the focal point of the whole picture; the bottom of the tail is white with black ringed stripes, and it needs to be fixed behind the chair or inside the clothes when wearing to prevent it from dropping during the shoot.

The shooting scene is mainly a traditional Chinese wooden armchair, set against a clean light gray backdrop, contrasted with the dark wooden tabletop at the bottom. The pose in Figure 1 is lifting both legs high and bending them slightly; this posture actually tests core strength quite a bit, requiring the use of the chair back and armrests as support points. Figures 2 and 3 involve crossing both legs on the chair, with Figure 3 holding an unrolled bamboo slip in hand. When making these moves, special control over the straightness of the instep is needed so that the leg lines look smoother. When holding the bamboo slip, lightly tapping the cheek with the index finger while staring straight into the lens with the eyes gives a sense of effortless ease.

There were actually quite a few minor episodes during the shoot. Because the chair is made of hardwood with a smooth surface, stepping on it in over-the-knee socks makes it very easy to slip, so readjusting the center of gravity was necessary every time the pose was adjusted. That big tail looks great, but it easily gets flattened or stuck in the chair gaps when changing sitting postures, requiring an assistant nearby to help tidy it up at any time. The plush shawl on the shoulders also slides along with movements, needing to be pulled up from time to time.

Regarding light and shadow, the lighting this time mainly adopted soft front top light combined with fill lights on both sides, ensuring a clear character outline in front of the white background while allowing the golden lines on the Traditional Chinese style Qipao and the texture of the over-the-knee socks to be well captured. When shooting the leg-lifting action, care should be taken to avoid leg shadows blocking the face, requiring fine adjustments to the light positions.

Overall, the difficulty of this set of pictures lies in how to showcase physical tension on a wooden chair while maintaining the integrity of clothing details. Judging from the final photo effects, the extension of the postures and the restoration of clothing details both met expectations. I hope this set of photos can bring everyone some reference in shooting postures and clothing styling.
