[Mordred cosplay] Fate/Grand Order: The Red Knight's Magnificent Declaration of Rebellion

Shooting this set was physically demanding, especially since the weight of the greatsword far exceeded expectations, and wearing this red and black armored outfit somewhat restricted my mobility. However, that physical burden actually made it feel truer to the concept I wanted to portray. We used a slightly low-angle composition for the shoot, an angle that amplifies the imposing aura of the gear, creating an undeniable sense of dominance and rebellious tension. I constantly adjusted my standing posture during the shoot—resting both hands on the planted sword required tightening my core to keep a tall, upright silhouette, which also showcased the lines of the black tights and leg straps. Resting the sword over my shoulder required engaging my lower back to stabilize my center of gravity and maintain a dashing, effortless stance. The red-and-gold breastplate paired with deep red waist fabrics and the blonde wig were all executed with great attention to detail. The core theme of this shoot was 'A magnificent rebellion against my father'; this rebellion is not merely physical defiance, but spiritual independence and sheer resolve. While finding shooting angles, I paid deliberate attention to the intensity of my gaze, looking past the sword with a slight upward chin tilt to capture the character's distinctive confidence and aloofness. Although I can't actually swing a greatsword in real life, this 2D cosplay medium allowed me to channel that wild, untamed spirit. The backdrop consisted of metal barriers and bare concrete floors at the convention venue; though a bit utilitarian, this industrial environment created a nice contrast with the red and black armor. Getting hair, makeup, and armor ready took considerable time, and throughout the session, I had to adapt to the weight of the costume and props while repeatedly refining poses. The final images turned out very powerful; despite the fatigue, bringing this iconic character's atmosphere to life through my own performance brought immense satisfaction.
