To get Roxy's outfit right this time, I started organizing the wig and props half a month in advance. I did a lot of research for the light purple wig, especially the braided pigtails on both sides and the ahoge on top of the head, which had to be styled naturally and fluffy without looking stiff. Once the hair texture was managed, the overall styling vibe stood out. The costume faithfully restored the earthy yellow cloak, with the black-and-white striped binding along the edges and the button details on the cuffs executed quite well. The inner white shirt, the vest with blue cross straps, and the black pleated miniskirt created a strong sense of layering when worn together. The white long boots paired with brown toes visually elongated the leg proportions, though putting them on and taking them off definitely took some time.

The staff prop demanded the most thought. To match the lore, the white crescent-shaped structure at the top and the blue glowing component in the middle required precise assembly, and the joint between the wood-colored long handle and the black grip was also reinforced. During the shoot, ensuring the staff was held steadily while conveying a natural magic-casting sensation tested my arm strength quite a bit. Especially when extending one hand forward, both my core and wrists had to exert hidden force to keep the staff from shaking.

The studio setting was chosen in a vintage area featuring stained glass windows. Stone masonry walls, warm-toned colored glass, a brown retro leather sofa, along with a suitcase, ancient books, and owl ornaments, made the entire environment an exceptional fit for a fantasy magic world setting. Under this warm-light environment, the character's skin tone and costume colors could render a fantastic texture. In terms of lighting, we tried to make the most of the warm light filtering through the window as the main light source, supplemented by side fill lighting to make facial contours more three-dimensional, while also accentuating the contrast between the white long boots and the costume.

Throughout the shoot, I kept searching for that seemingly calm and gentle yet inwardly steadfast state of Roxy. When sitting on the sofa, I tried standing the staff beside me, pinching one of the braids casually with one hand while supporting the staff with the other, striving to showcase a daily yet slightly detached wizard aura. When standing, aside from holding the staff firmly, I also needed to communicate through my gaze and the lens, and the blue contact lenses echoed that splash of blue at the top of the staff wonderfully under the light.

The tailoring of this outfit flatters the body shape quite well, especially the pairing of the cloak and vest without looking overly bulky, while the combination of the miniskirt and long boots preserved the character's girlish charm. Because the wig is relatively long, extra care was needed to prevent tangling when walking and sitting down, requiring me to tidy up the hair ends every so often. Although the day's shoot was somewhat tiring, seeing the final deliverables made me feel that the staff's accuracy, the scene's compatibility, and the costume's texture all met expected results. Step by step, bringing a character from 2D into reality, adjusting details until fully satisfied—that is the most enjoyable part of doing cosplay.
