This casual-outfit photoshoot of Roxy took quite some time to prepare. People usually see her dressed in full magician attire, so this time I wanted to capture a less formal, slice-of-life mood. The white T-shirt with navy binding paired with dark athletic shorts looks straightforward at first glance, but picking the fabric took genuine thought—I aimed for something gently tailored without looking overly tight so its textural quality translated cleanly before the lens.

To harmonize with this everyday casual feeling, I specifically selected these pure White stockings that reach over the knee. In studio photography, White stockings are surprisingly demanding under lighting—if the illumination is even slightly dim, they can look flat and dull. Fortunately, the photographer utilized soft high-angle lighting that sculpted the leg contours naturally. The zettai ryouiki between the athletic shorts and White stockings preserved her youthful maiden charm while lending a subtle visual allure. While shooting, I tried poses crossing my legs as well as extending them straight out, all to showcase the smooth texture of the White stockings and flattering leg curves.

Styling the wig was an absolute test of patience. Light blue synthetic hair can easily look frizzy if unkempt; I braided the signature twin tails multiple times to ensure the thickness and taper looked uniform and effortless. The single ahoge cowlick perched on top is the true soul of the look—to maintain that stubbornly perky flick, I set it thoroughly with hairspray and took extra care not to brush against it during takes. For makeup, blue circle lenses were chosen to faithfully match her eye color, and I blended the eyeshadow across a slightly wider radius so her eyes popped expressively against the pure white background.

Our main prop was just an ordinary school desk and wooden chair. Placing them in a void of pure white created a fascinating visual contrast. Being barefoot on the set made me appear petite and delicate perched on the furniture. In the first frame, I gathered myself slightly with hands tucked toward the collar, conveying a bashful, slightly reserved posture. The second shot was all about unwinding with a big stretch—we took many takes to hit that exact sweet spot of natural languor, pointing my toes to flatter the leg lines. In the third shot, I rested my chin in one hand slumped over the desk, gazing into space to simulate her typical absentminded daydreaming. These sequences aimed to express Roxy's subtle, private personality—seemingly mature and composed, but secretly a little lazy—through candid everyday moments. For post-processing, we stripped away heavy contrast to preserve a clean, luminous aesthetic that feels fresh and soothing. I fell in love with experimenting in this style, and I hope to share this breezy, unwound anime slice of life with everyone.
