Today, I am sharing the photoshoot notes from this Alice cosplay session. From styling prep to on-location shooting, there are so many thoughtful details to unpack. Starting with the attire, the top features an off-white base accented with black panels and piping, a black bow tie at the neckline, and vertical black striping across the chest. A broad black cincher snugs the waistline cleanly, leading down to a brown skirt finished with a black ruffled hem along the bottom. To remain faithful to the character's design, I paired pure white pantyhose White stockings with black flat Mary Jane shoes adorned with delicate bows. The wig was a vibrant crimson red cut with blunt bangs and flowing wavy curls; boasting abundant volume, it was accessorized with a slender black headband. For makeup, I selected crimson contacts paired with reddish eyeshadow and a matching lip shade, striving for seamless chromatic unity.

The location was set along an outdoor wooden staircase framed by rustic architecture with arched windows, colorful bunting, and vintage wall sconces. Fallen golden leaves lay scattered across the wooden steps and gravel paths alongside verdant ferns, evoking an unmistakable late-autumn to early-winter charm. The ambient daylight was remarkably soft and flattering for capturing textures.

Posing-wise, I explored a variety of stances. The first was seated on the wooden steps with legs crossed, raising both hands beside my head. This posture highlighted the tailoring of the top and the tiered layers of the skirt, while cleanly showcasing the White stockings and shoes. The second stance leaned slightly forward with hands clasped gently over the skirt hem above my knees with legs together, casting a demure and poised impression. The third was standing upon the stairs—one hand resting on the wooden banister and the other placed on my hip with one knee lightly bent, projecting confident bravado.

Throughout the shoot, I noticed the voluminous cut of the sleeves required constant mindful adjustment so they wouldn't bunch up awkwardly. White stockings can easily snag on weathered wooden steps, making sitting down and standing back up an exercise in extreme caution. Managing the wig also demanded time: red fibers can easily appear frizzy under natural daylight, so I smoothed the strands with care spray and a wide-tooth comb beforehand. To preserve the soft wave definition, I relied on the wig's structural cut rather than heavy styling gels.

A lighthearted moment arose when an outdoor breeze caught my hair, tossing the crimson locks into slight disarray—yet inadvertently creating an organic, dynamic beauty. To capture the finest compositions, the photographer had me refine my seating posture and hand placements repeatedly. Though physically tiring, seeing the chiaroscuro interplay in the final captures made every ounce of effort worthwhile. The weathered wood and warm lighting formed a striking counterpoint against the vivid red locks and off-white fabrics, where every micro-adjustment served to celebrate the outfit's details and the character's spirit.

In post-production, color balance was tuned to bring out rich wood grain while boosting crimson saturation for vivid tresses. Overall, the outcome thoroughly aligned with my vision, and I hope this sharing serves as helpful inspiration for fellow cosplay enthusiasts.
