Shooting this Demon King Amiya cosplay from Arknights required most of the workload during styling preparation. The black thorny crown headpiece was quite rigid, taking several repositionings to secure properly, while the sheer black veil easily obscured my vision while walking, though it unexpectedly added a wonderful sense of mystery. The tall height of the bunny ears had to be handled with care to prevent them from throwing off the balance of my head's center of gravity.
The gown incorporated generous white puff sleeves combined with asymmetrical black gradient tulle, creating intense contrast while carrying noticeable weight; especially in the kneeling pose (the second photo used as the cover), controlling the spread and drape of the skirt hem required careful attention. The matching black gradient decal stickers and the texture of the leg Stockings revealed rich details under the soft indoor lighting. Set in a vintage interior featuring carved antique sofas, a harp, and a piano, the photographer used lighting reminiscent of Fujifilm and Film tones—the gentle ambient light beautifully accentuated the gloves, leg textures, and reflections on the glass bottle prop.
Throughout the shoot, to capture the character's aloof, cool demeanor, I kept my posture strictly upright with my gaze directed downward or looking straight ahead. Holding the prop bottle across prolonged takes was a true test of core stability and arm strength. During post-processing, we mainly enhanced the depth of the dark shadows and the luminous translucency of the whites to stay as faithful as possible to the original character design. This collaboration was a fantastic experience—the poses, expressions, and scenic backdrop blended seamlessly, and I'm very satisfied with the details of this makeup and styling.
