Because 24 original photos were truly hard to choose from, I could only pick 18 out of them to post on Xiaohongshu; the trade-off in this was actually much harder than imagined. Previously, when the photographer @Su Ming gave me the negatives, I truly flipped back and forth for a long time; each photo's light, shadow, and action had its own flavor, making it hard to let go. And the photo finally placed as the cover—leaning against a yellow taxi—is a moment I'm highly satisfied with. That high-contrast sunlight paired with the reflection of the leather jacket, along with the casual sitting posture, fits naturally with the original character's temperament.

The theme of this street photography is very clear: it aims directly at recreating that casual, wild street vibe from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. The costume selects an imitation leather material with an exceptionally strong sense of luster. The advantage of this material is that when it is backlit or side-lit, it creates highly beautiful highlight edges. But at the same time, this material is also very picky about light; if the light is too harsh, it easily creates overexposed, dead-white areas. On the day of our shoot, we mainly relied on the intense natural light of the afternoon. The shadows cut by the surrounding architecture instead added a lot of hard-core contours to the frame.

The color scheme of this Anime-style fashion is purple and black combined with bright orange. These two colors are inherently complementary, and under the sunlight, they maximize the sense of color clashing. The wide orange headband on the head, the wristbands on the hands, and that piece of orange cloth with black and yellow geometric patterns at the waist have highly strong visual alignment. During the Cosplay photoshoot, the photographer extensively utilized wide-angle and unique low-angle and high-angle perspectives, which is actually a test for the coser's body control. For instance, in a low-angle shot, cooperating with actions like reaching a hand forward or squatting down to look at the lens can manufacture an excellent depth of space; while a high-perspective shot can turn the light-dark boundaries on the ground and the figure into a highly geometric graphic.

Actually, in terms of action design, I tried many different directions. There are more flamboyant reaching and grabbing actions, a sense of contemplation half-squatting on the ground, a completely relaxed feeling lying stretched out on the car hood, and finally, that confident crossed-leg gesture from a high angle. These action combinations happen to display the sense of youth and that unyielding, rebellious trait of the character. Even regarding the makeup, the emphasis was heavily placed on the eye contours, using relatively thick black eyeliner and dark eyeshadow to deepen the sharpness of the gaze, which, paired with somewhat messy bangs, can truly transmit strong emotions in close-ups.

Final credits must specially go to photographer @Su Ming this time. In such a complex street environment, accurately capturing the moment of each of my actions while ensuring the composition and background don't get messy truly requires excellent experience. For light control, we didn't do too much post-processing flattening either, preserving that distinct light-and-shadow texture from direct sunlight, making the entire photo set look less refined than a studio shoot, but instead filled with more street vitality.

Of course, to be honest, 16 photos aren't enough to display. If everyone can tell me in the comment section which of these 16 photos should be removed as failed shots and which should be kept, I will definitely refer to it seriously. Being able to achieve the final photoshoot as it is now is the result of everyone's mutual adjustment and shared conceptualization. I deeply enjoyed the process of this shoot, and I hope the atmosphere of the entire set of photos can infect everyone who reads down to here.
