[2B cosplay] NieR:Automata: Bunny Girl Look Unlocks Dark Bar Glamour

For this 2B Bunny girl themed Cosplay photoshoot, I specifically chose a small, highly retro bar in Qingdao as our location. The warm yellow lights behind the counter, the dark wooden structures, and the deep blue gaming table set a hazy yet cool tone that perfectly matches 2B's aloof and stoic battle-android persona.

In terms of makeup and styling, I opted for a highly glossy black patent leather bodysuit paired with her signature jaw-length white wig. The patent leather material reflects light very sharply. To keep the highlights clean and organized, the photographer and I spent a lot of time adjusting the angles of the overhead and side lights to achieve a sleek, polished texture. Adding the black bunny ear headband and the small bow tie at the collar beautifully blended the playful vibe of the Bunny girl element into her character's natural coldness.

The sheer black tights and lace-up high heels on the lower half were essential to adding that touch of allure. The semi-translucent texture of the tights beautifully elongated my leg lines under the warm ambient light and camera flashes. Throughout the shoot, I tried sitting casually by the table with scattered poker chips and cards in the foreground to add a sense of narrative. Leaning against the bar counter or high stools, I subtly changed the angle of my crossed legs to present a relaxed yet elegant posture.

Beyond the setting, the props were a huge help. Upside-down wine glasses, a diverse array of bottles in the background, and the texture of the leather sofa elevated the quality of the photos to another level. Since this was a moody, low-key set, we didn't overly brighten the colors in post-processing. Instead, we preserved the sophisticated gray-scale layers and the sharp highlights of the patent leather. This restraint created a striking visual contrast between her white hair and the black outfit.

Honestly, in the world of cosplay, clashing a character's core traits with different themes is incredibly fun. 2B is originally designed as a highly taciturn, duty-bound android, whereas a Bunny girl outfit carries hints of accommodation and playfulness. This contrast doesn't feel out of place in front of the camera at all—as long as the gaze remains cold and the body language stays relaxed and natural, it creates an amazing tension.

This shoot gave me valuable experience in capturing light on patent leather. While post-processing adds the finishing touches, the lighting and composition during the shoot itself are what truly define the quality. I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with the photographer to bring the images in my mind to life, and I hope this Anime-style photography set—blending the cool detachment of a battle android with the sultry bar bunny vibe—brings you a unique visual experience.
