This set of photos for the white, blue, and gold magical girl outfit shoot focuses on recreating the cat-like agile feel of the character. To stay true to the setting, I wore a light blonde short wig with straight bangs this time, paired with ruby-red colored contact lenses to make my gaze more focused. For makeup, I chose soft-focus blush to enhance my complexion and a jelly-textured lip glaze to reduce heaviness, thereby setting off a vibrant and playful state.
In terms of clothing, the white off-the-shoulder tube top design is visually very refreshing. Paired with the blue ribbon around the neck and white long gloves, it adds a bit of combat readiness to the magical girl outfit. The golden piping on the clothes echoes the golden decorations on the edges of the over-the-knee boots, giving the black-soled, white-faced high-heeled boots a strong sense of weight in the frame. During the shoot, I held that heart-shaped cutout staff adorned with a blue ribbon, which served as an important visual anchor for the entire look. Along with the colorful small cubes in my hand, it added a sense of interaction and narrative.
To create a dreamlike atmosphere, the shooting scene was specially chosen in a space with Gothic European-style columns and stained glass windows. A large amount of white and blue flowers, along with draped transparent tulle, was piled up in the scene. The lighting on set was softened, forming a cool and warm contrast with the warm yellow light filtering through the glass windows behind, which added a layer of light and shadow depth to the clean frame. The effect of the black reflective floor was unexpectedly good, mirroring the entire environment and stabilizing the center of gravity.
For the movements, I intentionally avoided overly exaggerated anime-style poses and instead chose some natural and relaxed dynamics, such as tilting my head while making a peace sign, lightly lifting an arm, or turning halfway to look back at the camera. This was also meant to convey that lively yet slightly charmingly naive expression. Furthermore, a prop headwear with large orange eyeballs was placed on the floor as a playful Easter egg blended into the frame, preventing the whole scene from looking too monotonous. Throughout the process of this cosplay photography session, I constantly adjusted the distance and angle relative to the staff, ensuring that the staff, the edges of the outerwear, and my expressions all blended into a natural rhythm. I tried my best to match the original temperament of the costume without making my limb movements look stiff, releasing the agile ambient feel belonging to the character.
