[Ning Rongrong cosplay] AoRong Photo with Oscar

After sorting out the styling and makeup for the AoRong pairing and taking this set of photos, I feel the daily atmosphere of the characters has been beautifully restored. Ning Rongrong and Oscar always have a strong sense of interaction in their Soul Land Manga settings. The venue selected this time is an indoor space with arched windows and a black-and-white patterned carpet. The light is incredibly soft, which is perfect for showcasing the intimate atmosphere between the characters. As the cosplayer for Ning Rongrong cosplay, today's makeup focus was placed on the combination of eye makeup and colored contacts. The purple contacts beautifully match the original art's eye color, and combined with the mole below the left eye, it effectively enhances the character's recognizability. The texture of the pink wig strands presents a nice luster under natural light, and the lace hair accessory on top along with the lace choker around the neck are meticulously chosen accessories, used to enhance that exquisite and playful feel of a wealthy young lady. The semi-transparent lace gloves on my hands provided a great highlight while tidying up the outfit.

The Oscar cosplay model beside me is a partner I've teamed up with for a long time. This light purple short hair paired with green colored contacts handles Oscar's sunny yet slightly rascal-like vibe perfectly. The simple pairing of a white shirt and black vest forms a visual complement with my yellow-and-white lace dress in terms of colors—one cool and one warm. Coupled with our leaning-together poses, it naturally conveys the AoRong pairing bond between a reliable guardian and the guarded, or simply the tie between partners in this duo cosplay. Before the shoot, we actually repeatedly adjusted the direction of the wig's bangs because the styling in the manga looks casual, but in reality, it can easily look messy if not properly managed. To restore this 'manga feel', we spent a lot of energy on makeup and hair details.

This yellow dress is relatively lightweight; although the ruffle design looks beautiful, it can easily lead to accidental exposure if one isn't careful when posing, so we were very cautious on-site to coordinate our movement angles together. The second image captures the moment both of us look at the camera, yielding a strong sense of eye contact. I also deliberately widened my eyes, adorned with purple contacts, to adapt to the lens's focal length. Natural light filters in from the arched window behind us, giving a soft rim light to the edges of our profiles, making the skin appear exceptionally translucent. Placing my left hand gently on my chest is also a reflection of the character's personality. From costume material selection to wig trimming, every step aimed to match the original setting as closely as possible; the process of cosplay itself is an experience of paying tribute to the work. We were both highly satisfied after shooting this set, feeling that this indoor venue vibe added a bit more breath of life than studio shoots, fitting the state of their daily interaction better. This is the best way to present the relaxed feel of AoRong's daily routine at Shrek Academy.
