This time, I chose a policewoman-themed patent leather uniform to present this Marin Kitagawa cosplay look from My Dress-Up Darling. The navy blue cropped jacket paired with a black patent leather skirt and leather belt creates clean, sharp lines, and the glossy texture of the material looks incredible under the neon lights. The hat and badge are key details to replicate the setting, and together with her iconic blonde hair and pink-orange hair tips, I hope to capture the essence of the character. During the shoot, we specially prepared props like caution tape and a black leather case to enhance the scene's atmosphere. A highly reflective material was laid on the floor to let the colored lights flow across the frame. In the second photo, I adjusted how I held the black baton, trying to make the pose look more natural. The main difficulty of this cosplay was managing the patent leather fabric; it's essential to keep the surface as smooth as possible to reflect sharp light and shadow. The on-site light sources used alternating cool and warm LED light strips. This method of neon photography is very helpful for presenting skin tones and clothing textures. The shooting process went quite smoothly, and through this experience, I felt the different possibilities that this kind of uniform style brings to expressing a character's personality.
