The lighting at the Zhongshan as29 venue was actually quite cluttered; the hall was vast, with cold-toned overhead lights and strong reflections bouncing off the floor. In post-processing, these Convention photos deliberately retained this crisp, cool blue palette, creating an appealing chromatic contrast against the warm-toned wig. We invested considerable time into styling before shooting: the blonde-to-pink gradient wig required meticulous grooming along the bangs to achieve a voluminous, flattering frame for the face. This look embraced classic school uniform coordination—the white shirt featured a crisp, structured collar, while loosening the deep cyan necktie slightly introduced an effortless, relaxed vibe, and the plaid skirt's waist was custom-tailored for a cleaner silhouette. Pairing black calf socks with platform shoes offered both practical comfort for walking the show floor and faithful accuracy to her 2D character traits.

While communicating with photographer NightDiva, we actively avoided cluttered backgrounds and instead utilized a white circular spotlight patch on the floor as our fixed anchor. The first photo was framed as a seated half-body close-up; holding a smartphone naturally occupied the hands, and directing my gaze straight into the lens heightened interactivity. The second and third shots were full-length standing poses designed to capture dynamic hair-tucking motion alongside a confident hands-on-hips stance, though background light stands and fans still somewhat competed for attention. In my view, the shot best suited as the cover is the fourth one: perching on the high stool not only accentuated the complete leg line, but the centered composition combined with the black socks yielded flattering leg proportions while keeping the subject impeccably framed within the shot.

With crowds watching on set, snapping the ideal expression relied heavily on the photographer's sense of timing, successfully immortalizing that characteristic blend of relaxed ease and self-assured confidence. Utilizing a telephoto lens with a shallow depth of field was an effective solution to blur out surrounding foot traffic. The shirt was made from a wrinkle-resistant blend that retained its sharp, structured tailoring even after a full day of movement. The tips of the wig were smoothed to avoid looking stiff under indoor spotlights, while natural orange-red lips added warm vitality, complemented by deeper eye contouring to keep facial features three-dimensional under cold light. This set documents the genuine flow of that day's shoot; even without elaborate props, leaning into costume fidelity and environmental synergy achieved the intended visual quality for this cosplay showcase.
