[Marin Kitagawa Cosplay] My Dress-Up Darling Bunny Girl Outfit: Photoshoot Prints from the Chengdu World Line Night Scene

This time at the Chengdu World Line Anime Exhibition, I brought Marin Kitagawa's blue-and-white bunny girl look for a night shoot, where the overall approach for the Night portrait was utilizing ambient light combined with flash to manage the primary and secondary visual focus.

The blue-and-white color scheme of this outfit is highly refreshing. The costume consists of a light blue tube-top corset and a white ruffled skirt hem, adorned with three dark blue small bowknots across the chest and matched with a same-series blue bow tie at the neckline to achieve visual unity. The bunny ear headband on the head selects a pairing of light blue and soft pink, which, along with the blonde wig featuring gradient pink ends, restores the character's classic elements from My Dress-Up Darling. The lower body couples with black fishnets and white high heels with red-and-black soles; this contrast between deep and light tones makes the overall styling look both lively yet sharp and sexy. Accessories also include white short gloves and a brown tray prop, giving the look more of a waitress bunny girl narrative feel.

The shooting location was chosen on a patch of grass by the water, with a background of reed beds and distant city lights. The biggest difficulty in night photography is controlling the lights; here, a strong flash was used for frontal fill-light, and a wide aperture squished the distant city lights into scattered bokeh dots. The texture of the grass appeared brilliantly green under the flash, forming an excellent color echo with the blue-and-white pairing on my body. To exhibit the character's playfulness and vitality, I attempted many different sitting postures during the shoot. Posing like the cover photo—sitting on the ground with legs stretched forward—actually requires finding the center of gravity to make the legs look slender, while simultaneously offering a perfect showcase for the fishnet texture and the red design at the bottom of the high heels.

When switching between different actions—such as holding the tray, propping up the chin, or sitting cross-legged sideways—I needed to adjust the angles of my wrists and arms to avoid blocking the bowknot details on the clothes. The entire costume is relatively convenient for moving around outdoors, and the fluffiness of the skirt hem perfectly contours the leg shape. The night breeze occasionally ruffled my hair, which, combined with the high-speed sync of the flash, enabled the candid capture of some highly natural dynamic feels. Utilizing a bunny girl outfit to present a high-energy character like Marin Kitagawa actually creates more gap appeal than a purely sweet style. The output effect of this shoot basically hit expectations, and the texture of the apparel didn't look coarse even under harsh light. Aside from the atmospheric photos inside the convention halls, occasionally trying this kind of quiet outdoor Night portrait allows me to focus more purely on the character's own traits and expressiveness, making the entire process a highly joyful experience.
