This shoot took place in the realistic church set of Yuanmeng Photography Studio, primarily aiming to explore a cool-toned bride cosplay atmosphere. The highlight of the raw shots was the stained glass window in the background; when the light filtered through, the contrast between warm and cool tones was fantastic. The shoot was physically demanding because the beautiful wedding dress was layered and heavy. To complement the backlight from the stained glass, the photographer adjusted the lighting direction to let the veil catch the light, adding a hazy, dreamy feel. For makeup, I chose a slightly pale base paired with a light pink wig to create a delicate and fragile doll-like look. The hairstyle was a classical updo paired with a veil and crown. What I loved most about this set was the transition between camera angles. Close-ups showed the intricate details of the neckline and bodice, while wide shots with tall Roman columns and cool-toned blue flowers elevated the depth of the entire scene. In post-processing, clear facial contours and fabric fold shadows were preserved rather than over-smoothing the skin, keeping an authentic texture. Finding the right emotion in front of the lens is always a magical experience, and I hope to create more storytelling photosets like this in the future.
