The styling for this shoot is New Jersey from Azur Lane, creatively blending elements of an anime rabbit and bride cosplay. Most players who love this character are familiar with her lively and approachable military appearance, so this white veil bunny look represents a fresh attempt while preserving her iconic traits.
For hair and makeup, I wore a light blue medium-length wig paired with matching blue contact lenses. To prevent this cool-toned makeup from looking overly washed out, I intentionally added a touch of pink to the eye makeup and lips to give the complexion a more radiant and lively glow.
The outfit coordination took the most thought and effort. The top features a white lace off-the-shoulder bandeau accented with intricate gold metallic ornaments on the chest and waist, breaking the monotony of pure white. I wore matching long lace arm sleeves, visually elongating the lines of the arms. The crowning touch is naturally the giant white rabbit ears on top and the cascading lace veil. The edge of the veil is sewn with dense lace trim that flutters lightly with movement. To complement the overall mood, I held a small bouquet of blue and white artificial flowers, which harmonizes with the set's color palette without overpowering the main look.
As for the setting, to match this ethereal styling, the entire environment was decorated with an abundance of blue and purple hydrangeas. In terms of photography, high-brightness, low-saturation cool lighting was utilized to give the visuals a hazy, dreamlike texture. The close-up shot in Photo 1 focuses on showcasing the facial makeup, hair details, and the delicacy of the lace veil, with expressions and gaze tailored to the character—capturing an aura that is sweet yet subtly cool and serene.
Photo 2, the full-body shot, focuses more on expressing overall posture and body proportions. Since long legs cosplay is an unmissable trait of this character, I paired the outfit with glossy black high heels and used a low-angle wide shot to make the legs look even longer. Sitting on the white architectural pedestal required multiple adjustments to ensure the lace skirt draped naturally while guiding the viewer's eyes toward the tips of the heels and the graceful curve of the legs. This angle puts body core stability to the test, but the final result accurately captured that elegant yet subtly alluring vibe.
The challenge of this look lay in blending the keywords "bride" and "rabbit" naturally without disharmony while staying true to the character. In terms of props, simply selecting the right lace fabrics took considerable time—the sheer tulle needed ample drape, and the rabbit ears needed just the right stiffness so they wouldn't look floppy on camera. Fortunately, the final combination turned out very satisfying, and the moment I put it on, I completely stepped into character.
On the day of the shoot, the temperature wasn't high, but holding relaxed and natural poses for minutes at a time was physically demanding. Yet seeing those cool and aesthetic shots in the viewfinder made every second worth it. Even though it is a derivative creation of an anime character, I aimed to present a vivid, dimensional beauty that transcends the two-dimensional realm.
Everyone has different aesthetic tastes, but I am personally very satisfied with the outcome of this shoot. From prop details to lighting and atmosphere, everything met my expectations. I hope everyone enjoys the visual beauty of this pure white bride rabbit set against a blue-toned backdrop.
