Based on the cold and aloof demeanor of the Genshin Impact character Shenhe, the overall styling incorporates abundant black gothic Bride cosplay elements. Smooth silver-white long hair was chosen and styled into a low side ponytail, accented with red hair accessories to balance the heavy tone of the extensive black veil. The makeup utilizes a clear, fair foundation paired with cool-toned icy blue contact lenses to align with the character's disposition. The black folding fan in hand, decorated with dark gold rib patterns, serves not only as a prop to enhance depth but also expands framing options by being held open or closed during shooting.

The shoot was arranged in a dark-toned indoor space, specifically selecting a venue with starry sky lighting effects to complement the black veil bride theme. Cool-toned top and side lights fell from above and behind, outlining the sheer veil edges of the coat and the fine weave of the fishnet stockings. Scattered bokeh in the background resembled starlight, adding mystery to the dark composition. For positioning, I specifically chose a spot contrasting with the grey floor and stepped onto a white folding stool, utilizing the height difference to coordinate with camera angle shifts and elongate leg lines.

This outfit severely tests dressing details. The black outerwear features a layered design, combining off-shoulder cuts with sleeve openings that require precise arrangement to avoid appearing bulky. Neckline and waist straps required repeated adjustments to ensure a snug fit without pinching. A crucial focal point lies in the black fishnet stockings, acting as a primary visual center for the lower body. Featuring vine and heart cutouts along the sides, paired with a high-slit skirt, they accentuate leg contours nicely. The folding fan in hand played a key role in static framing, offering a visual focal point for the upper body and avoiding awkward hand placements. The photographer carefully captured the spatial relation between me and the small stool, ensuring balanced subject proportion without letting bright background starlight overpower the scene.

During post-processing, adjustments focused on fine-tuning color temperature. Ambient light on-site leaned blue, which easily muddy black garments into flat blocks, so I lowered saturation slightly, lifted shadows, and softened hair highlights. Bride-version Shenhe from Genshin Impact differs greatly from her classic default skin; its design emphasizes semi-transparent materials to forge a hazy, elegant aura. This style of Bride cosplay demands high makeup and fabric fidelity, and luckily, the prop maker and photographer were incredible partners, bringing out the outfit's finest look before the camera. Though a simple auxiliary prop, the white folding stool provided a delightful accent against the black-dominated palette, bolstering light-and-dark contrast.
