A moment of blooming, life's forms are like floating clouds. Only by brushing away the floating clouds before our eyes can we gain freedom of the heart. This photo set was actually prepared for quite a long time, and was ultimately shot in a unique wooden courtyard. The courtyard was surrounded by clusters of blue hydrangeas, with artificially built white cherry blossom branches nearby, while black wooden beams and sliding doors formed the spatial frame. The most finishing touch was the pink paper lantern hanging from the roof; its soft warm light illuminated facial contours delicately while casting a subtle warm hue over the pale wig.

This costume has many design details. The main body uses a sheer white gauze material that is very light and breathable to wear, while wide flowing sleeves allow great extension for movements. The obi sash serves as the visual focus of the garment, featuring a high-contrast yellow-and-red checkerboard pattern that creates a striking material contrast against the airy white gauze. Blue rope knots and blue-and-white tassels decorating the obi harmonize the intensity of red and yellow while adding a cool touch. The broad, red petal-shaped train produces a beautiful dynamic effect during movement. For the hairstyle, long white hair paired with two signature loop buns is adorned with hair ornaments carrying red flame elements, which not only flatter the face shape but also make the overall styling look more three-dimensional and refined. White wigs easily look blown out and flat under lighting, so when adjusting lights, we focused on preserving the shadow side of the hair strands.

In actual wearing, the outfit is quite light and not heavy at all, which is extremely friendly to me because it means I can strike more relaxed and graceful poses without worrying about garment weight suppressing body postures. Although wide gauze sleeves look beautiful, even small movements make them sway gently with the wind, guiding me to slow down body gestures during the shoot to convey a quiet, introspective mood.

During shooting, several different stances were attempted. The first standing pose raising a hand was mainly to highlight the drape of the sleeves and how the outfit fits the body. The next two switched to sitting poses by the wooden veranda, paired with a purple-blue folding fan and dark wooden plaques for more relaxed body language. The kneeling pose with eyes closed captured a slightly solitary yet serene atmosphere. When sitting, leg placement requires special attention; string and pearl adornments decorating the legs, along with being barefoot, give the visual composition a stronger sense of breathing room. Wanting an unforced, naturally suspended feel, adjusting the sitting posture above the water basin took considerable time, while the texture of the bamboo water scoop added a hint of raw texture to the scene.

Because the garment material is thin and light, coupled with a long gauze train, it was extremely easy to snag on flowers, plants, or wooden floors during shooting, requiring immense care with every repositioning. Fortunately, the ambient light and shadow added much to these photos that day. Having communicated beforehand with the photographer about wanting a soft, tranquil color tone, we used a reflector to add subtle facial highlights under natural diffuse courtyard light. This feeling of merging with the courtyard and flowers echoes the artistic mood of "brushing away floating clouds to find freedom of the heart" described in the original text. In the end, when selecting photos, I deliberated for a long time; standing and sitting poses each had their own beauty. However, since the original intention of this set was to demonstrate fidelity and an easygoing atmosphere, I ultimately leaned toward presenting the most relaxed state. White hair, red tassels, sheer gauze, yellow-and-red checkerboard patterns, paired with such a Zen wooden courtyard—I feel the character's disposition was successfully conveyed. The entire set doesn't rely on overly complex special effects, relying more on the natural interaction of light and props to build this character's visual impression, while preserving the natural beauty brought by traditional architecture and flora.
