[Gongsun Li Cosplay] Honor of Kings Dance Among Flowers Convention Photos Record

"What is constantly remembered will surely echo." This set of Gongsun Li cosplay photos for Dance Among Flowers was finally released as convention photos. This shoot experience was a hands-on trial; from early preparation to finding angles on site, and working with the photographer to capture moments, every step fell into a loop of the busier, the happier.

The blue and white color scheme of the main outfit looked very refreshing under the convention lighting, perfectly fitting the Dance Among Flowers theme. The fluffy plush texture of the pink and white bunny ears on top was solid, and to keep them fixed at the hair roots without wobbling, I placed two layers of non-slip sponge inside the headband. The blue cloth flower at the neck, the layered pleated skirt at the waist, and those outward extending light blue ribbons were core visual highlights of this look. Also worth mentioning are the gradient blue full-length stockings on the calves; this slightly pearlescent material cast a soft reflected glow under the flashlights, pairing with the blue rose tied at the ankle and clear block-heeled shoes to elongate the leg lines visually while bringing out the anime texture of this gradient stockings cosplay outfit.

The giant blue peony flower in hand was the centerpiece of this styling. The layers of petals were made very richly with subtle glitter along the edges, and the stamen in the middle was a 3D woven gold. At first, shooting with this flower felt awkward because the prop was huge, easily blocking face light or spilling past the lens frame if not careful, limiting composition. Later, the photographer suggested holding the flower with one hand to the side while opening the other hand slightly with a tilted body pose, which felt much more open and relaxed than holding it with both hands, fitting the lively natural vibe desired for anime convention photos.

Lighting conditions at conventions are usually complex, with lots of top light and heavy shadows. This time, relying entirely on external fill light gear and camera coordination, we found the right lighting angle for this light-colored outfit. Since the skirt is a miniskirt paired with transparent block heels, controlling center of gravity and posture during one-knee kneeling or side squats was especially crucial. I had to constantly guard against accidental exposure while keeping body balance stable to ensure the poses looked natural rather than stiff. The venue was somewhat noisy, but once in the shooting state, adjusting eye gaze and jaw angles allowed me to immerse myself in this interplay of light and shadow.

Doing this Dance Among Flowers set was a hearty, wholehearted endeavor. I didn't care how tiring it was under the flashlights because the accessories on the clothes and props in hand were quite heavy, but in the moments frozen in final shots, all the tedious preparation felt worth it. The charm of convention photos lies in their strong sense of realism; you not only show the aesthetic beauty of the character setting but also let everyone see the bustling crowd and lighting environment in the venue. This kind of anime-style photography with real spatial context often evokes deeper immersive empathy than studio shots on plain backdrops. Organizing these photos feels like a heartfelt delivery of my convention cosplay experience.
