[Mash cosplay] Lawson Collaboration Look Under Late-Night Lights

For this shoot featuring Mash's Lawson collaboration ver., we captured wonderfully warm light and shadow across the winter night streets. This combination of a White duffle coat paired with a Black tights outfit and plaid skirt offers a great balance of warmth and visual aesthetics, though it truly tests the photographer's mastery over background lighting.

Our outdoor locations mainly centered around corridors adorned with warm yellow fairy lights and leaf-lined pathways. The creamy bokeh produced by a wide-aperture lens gave the frames rich layering, with warm circular light spots perfectly balancing out the cooler tones of the white coat. During the shoot, I adjusted through several poses—such as crossing my legs while sitting on the steps or leaning slightly forward to elongate the leg lines. Photo 1 uses a full-body composition with the foreground steps to evoke a casual street vibe; Photo 2's medium close-up highlights the eyes and eyeglass details; Photo 3's forward-leaning stance adds a playful touch, showcasing the seamless transition between the skirt hem and black tights.

Equipped with round-frame glasses and purple contact lenses, I deliberately experimented with lively movements—subtle head tilts and glancing gazes—to capture her personality and avoid stiff expressions. It was quite chilly on shoot day, but we persevered to the end to get the best possible shots. For post-processing, the main focus was fine-tuning the warm-cool contrast, darkening background distractions to make the subject pop while preserving authentic skin texture. This collaboration outfit inherently boasts a strong casual everyday feel, fitting the winter street atmosphere flawlessly. Portraying casual-style characters always brings a unique experience, and immersing into character within a specific setting feels truly magical. For this slightly scholarly look, the blend of black-and-white tones with plaid elements remains a timeless classic.
