The convention photos from the Changsha Qingkong Academy Season Anime Convention are finally sorted out! This time, I'm bringing you Neptune cosplay in her bunny cop style from Azur Lane. The bunny girl uniform paired with a police cap and a red tie instantly brings out a powerful aura. The material of this outfit is very special; the black patent leather part has an excellent reflective effect, looking high-quality under the venue's lighting. The blue military jacket is custom-made, with the gold lines on the shoulders and cuffs offering quite a good level of accuracy. Together with the white gloves, it gives off a strong sense of a uniform. The bunny ears are made of soft material with moderate support, so they don't feel too heavy on the head while remaining upright. The wig is light blue, long, and straight, and the bangs are trimmed with just the right curve so they don't block my vision.
To express the lively and capable vibe of being "on the case" during the shoot, we tried several different poses. My favorite is the full-body shot standing on one leg. Balanced on black high heels and shot from a low angle, it makes my silhouette look very elongated and full of presence. I also really like another close-up shot where I'm kneeling on both knees and holding the police cap. The light hits my face softly, making the makeup look very clean. Although the convention venue was crowded, the photographer was great at finding angles, utilizing the on-site glass windows and top lighting to capture a bright transparency that beautifully presented the textures of the patent leather and stockings. Even though I started preparing makeup at 4:00 AM and my feet were sore from standing all day, it was incredibly heartwarming to meet so many fellow fans and have passersby tell me, "Neptune is so cute!"
As an Azur Lane player, being able to cosplay a character I love is a deeply fulfilling thing in itself. This shoot was an awesome experience; from preparing the costume to adjusting the makeup, and then to the positioning and shooting on-site, it left behind many fun memories. Cosplay is not just about putting on clothes, but more about experiencing the character's temperament and passing her charm on to everyone. I hope everyone can see my dedication, and fellow fans are more than welcome to connect and share!
