The photos capturing a cozy home vibe of Kasugano Sora are finally sorted out. This time, I chose the most natural home environment to present this character. The white ruffled nightshirt itself perfectly fits Sora's fragile and endearing temperament. Combined with the pale blonde twin-tails and black ribbons, I am extremely satisfied with the completeness of the entire look.

The most enjoyable part during the shoot was interacting with that brown plush bear. When holding it in my arms for close-up shots, it instantly captured a sense of pure innocence and dependency. For the few shots of me sitting barefoot on the kitchen counter, I was a bit worried before the shoot if it would look too casual, but the final photos showed that this touch of daily life actually made the character more vivid. The one where I am holding a glass of water to drink also captured a natural state without any stiffness from deliberate posing.

When shooting this kind of style, the biggest taboos are harsh lighting or a cluttered background. This time, by using the soft, diffused natural light from the window, the transitions of light and shadow throughout the set became incredibly comfortable. For editing, I used the Pixelcake photo retouching software mentioned in the post, which is truly a holy grail for handling facial details and skin texture. After using the software to resolve some messy background lighting and minor skin blemishes, the frame instantly became clean and transparent, while still retaining the skin's natural texture without looking too plastic.

Many times, people pursue grand scenes or brilliant special effects for cosplay, but in reality, simpler everyday scenes in anime-style photography put the details of costumes, makeup, props, and expression control to the test. Wearing a loose nightshirt this time, there was no need to deliberately strike a pose; by simply staying relaxed, the resulting photos naturally exuded an atmospheric feel. This is probably the charm of a 'cozy home vibe'—comfortable and healing. The final photos have an overall warm tone, and the milky-white color palette complements the character beautifully. Through nearly four to five hours of shooting and sorting, although it was a bit exhausting, seeing these satisfying images made it all worth it. Overall, this home recreation of Sky of Destiny was a very relaxing experience.
