After changing into Poem of Flowing Light and meticulously styling the wig, my first impression of the overall look was that it was incredibly dreamy yet demanded extreme patience. From the golden vine crown on my head and glitter among the hair strands to the purple rose ornament at the neck and the tiered tulle of the skirt hem, not a single detail could be overlooked. Because of the voluminous pink braided styling, I applied ample hairspray inside the wig and secured the structural frame with bobby pins to keep the strands from coming undone while shooting on the swing. Slipping into this outfit, my immediate sensation was the firm constriction of the corset and the expansive volume of the petticoat; maintaining an upright posture while keeping an eye on the folds of the semi-sheer tulle skirt was crucial to avoid diminishing its ethereal elegance.

Regarding the makeup, I focused primarily on the eyes and brows. These large-diameter gradient blue-purple contact lenses are very striking, requiring multi-layered eye makeup. I used a shimmery pink-purple base across the lid, deepening the outer corners with dark purple-brown for added depth, while applying champagne gold glitter to the aegyo-sal and inner eye corners. The lower lashes were drawn thickly, pairing with pink blush beneath the eyes to create a look that felt both delicate and confident. The lipstick was a glossy peach tone with softly blended edges to match the clear, luminous texture of the wig.

Location scouting was the most pivotal step. I selected a vintage blue-and-white swing as the primary backdrop, complemented by chiffon drapes on the floor and white blossoms alongside, maximizing the dress's sweet charm. During the shoot, I deliberately designed a pose sitting sideways on the swing with legs lightly crossed, better displaying the costume details—especially the long White stockings. The lace-up strapped design flattered leg lines wonderfully, which, combined with lightly pointed toes, made the legs look even more slender. Extensive soft lighting was used to illuminate the skin. In post-processing, I retained the Pink color scheme and pink-purple base tones without aggressive high contrast, choosing instead to lower highlights and boost the overall clear, soft-glow texture so that the final image quality best reflected the prototype's design concept.

The shoot was far from effortless. Between the indoor air conditioning, multi-layered costume, and platform high heels, it felt quite stifling, requiring constant vigilance to prevent the petticoat from flipping up and causing wardrobe mishaps when seated. However, adding foreground flowers to frame the shot resulted in a very high yield of great photos. Determining focal lengths and controlling facial expressions amidst such a complex setup came from continuous communication with the photographer to finalize the best angles. If fellow cosplayers plan to do this outfit, I strongly recommend preparing suitable contact lenses and nude undergarments in advance to flawlessly pull off the front lace-up strapping and semi-sheer neck veil. Due to the abundant pearls and sequins on the dress, moving required caution against friction. We explored multiple angles within the swing setup; beyond standard front close-ups, using the chiffon drapes for background bokeh from side angles worked wonderfully. Overall, this set not only captures the exquisite fabric textures of Poem of Flowing Light, but also reflects the lively facet of this character design.
