[Elysia Cosplay] Honkai Impact 3rd's Pink Elf: Magnificent Gowns in Black and White

Shooting this set of Elysia Cosplay photos, I aimed from the very beginning to capture a different vibe. A pure white real-scene studio served as the core of this attempt. Because the location mostly consisted of large areas of ivory white and cool white tones, complemented by European Roman columns, a classical crystal chandelier, and a stylish white staircase and fireplace, the overall environment was exceptionally clean.

Yet the cleaner the scene, the more it tests the expressive power of costumes and model. This time, two completely contrasting looks were prepared. The first was that giant white long mesh gown—honestly, wearing it felt like a bit of a burden, as the hem was large enough to cover more than half the staircase steps. But once standing before the camera, draping long pink wavy hair down, and gently arranging the layers of the gown's hem, that ethereal charm instantly burst forth. The combination of the massive white skirt and light-colored petals, accented by the white dove model and chandelier in the background, made the styling look extraordinarily full.

The second black gown, on the other hand, was a stronger, more tension-filled expression. The crisp tailoring of the black high slit, paired with black super-high heels, pulled leg contours into a gorgeous line. Sitting on the reflective mirror platform, I especially loved this composition—the mirror reflected both subject and space, creating an intensely sharp black-and-white contrast. That cool, elegant, yet slightly distant aura was, in my opinion, the best visual presentation in this pure white environment.

Speaking of post-processing, the raw shots were actually not this astonishing. This time, I boldly tried using Xingtu image expansion. I rarely used such features before, always worrying AI might stuff strange artifacts inside. But Xingtu's AI expansion was genuinely impressive this time; image quality suffered zero loss, and it seamlessly extended backgrounds that originally had cropped edges. Whether it was the dove sculpture and white flowers in the top-right corner or the completely extended mirror reflection and opposite window, the AI handled everything smoothly with barely any harsh stitching marks. Outline edges, hair ribbons, and fabric folds maintained crisp sharpness.

As a cosplayer, I deeply enjoy bringing beloved characters to life in different forms—not merely imitating, but weaving in my own understanding. Quite a few shots were taken in the studio, but these two gowns in contrasting tones yielded the best Anime-style photography results. The reflecting chandelier overhead, petals underfoot, and white furniture all served as wonderful accents.

This shoot also gave me fresh ideas regarding AI post-processing tools. I used to think retouching was just skin smoothing and liquefying, but now AI can instantly expand composition and scenery, giving images that grand and breathtaking feel characteristic of 2D art. Using it for main-set post-processing or expanding cropped edges is immensely practical. A great character paired with the right scene and excellent editing maximizes the magic of cosplay.
