[Hifumi cosplay] Living as an Ordinary High School Girl in the World of Blue Archive

Today, I'm sharing an official set of Hifumi cosplay from Blue Archive. The overall styling centers around an academy aesthetic, combining an off-white wool knit cardigan with a dark navy sailor collar. The visible seam stitching on both the cardigan and skirt accurately captures the tailored texture of the school uniform. The bright yellow bow at the neckline serves as a focal point, breaking up the primary black-white-blue palette so it never feels monotonous. The hair is a light flaxen straight-bangs wig, carefully trimmed at the ends and bangs to look full and neat. The twin-tails on both sides are accented with white fluffy pom-poms and yellow ribbons, creating a harmonious visual echo with the yellow halo above. Perched overhead alongside tiny wing accents, the yellow halo offers instant recognition.

For the makeup, I aimed for a clean, translucent finish. I chose orange-toned contact lenses to brighten the gaze, layering champagne and soft orange eyeshadow with natural eyeliner to make the eyes appear rounder and more spirited. The costume details are spot-on, and the knit cardigan fits comfortably without restricting movement or losing shape during poses. As for props, the large white plush bird is an eye-catching highlight; holding it naturally facilitates cute posing and enriches hand positioning. This outdoor location was set along seaside slopes and breakwaters, where the blue sky and natural light over the sea were remarkably clear. Although the coastal winds posed a slight challenge to maintaining hair and silhouette shape, the drape of the knit fabric held up nicely.

The tetrapods and grey ground along the shore created a crisp light-and-dark contrast against the white outfit, and the overall color grading leaned toward cool highlights to make the character pop. Wearing black stockings not only transitioned smoothly into the navy skirt but also balanced the visual brightness of the white top. White-and-pink color-blocked sneakers fit the relaxed, energetic high school girl cosplay vibe and provided steady footing on uneven terrain. The shot resting on a wooden bench showcased the skirt's delicate lace trim and floral accents. To keep poses natural, the photographer encouraged relaxed gestures—like lightly holding a twin-tail or glancing down at my hands—which effortlessly conveyed a casual cosplay atmosphere.

Throughout the shoot, expression control had to remain subtle: not a beaming broad grin, but rather a soft smile and relaxed demeanor befitting a gentle high school girl. When sea breezes swept through, the natural flutter of hair and hemline added dynamic motion to the composition. Post-processing was kept minimal, focusing primarily on harmonizing color tones, brightening the complexion, and preserving authentic lighting from that day. The fabric and tailoring were crafted with great care, especially the bow ribbons on the chest, which stayed neatly draped without awkwardly flipping up. The black stockings featured a subtle matte finish that looked very natural in daylight.

Stepping away from a busy daily routine to stroll along the shore in custom-made costume and immerse oneself in another persona is truly refreshing. While shooting requires real effort, seeing the final photos makes it all worthwhile. This set captured the everyday charm I envisioned, and I hope everyone finds that same pure joy in cosplay.
