Today's shoot features Asuma Toki from Blue Archive, and crafting the set design took an immense amount of planning. To recreate that authentic futuristic sci-fi feel, we specifically tracked down a server room cluttered with vintage electronic equipment. CRT monitors in the background displayed color bar test patterns across their curved glass, flanked by stacks of metallic storage cases and sprawling tangles of black cables. This cold, industrial, mechanical environment served as the perfect visual foil for her distinct character aura.

Wardrobe-wise, this black-and-white maid uniform is rich with subtle nuances: delicate ruffles along the sleeveless blouse, a striking bright blue bow tie knotted at the collar, and criss-crossing black leather harness straps across the bodice. While gorgeous to wear, adjusting it properly took time—especially the metallic buckles and the over-the-knee White stockings, which tended to bunch into creases when sitting down, requiring me to smooth them out flat with every shift in posture. Once slipping on the fingerless black gloves, handling the white-and-blue sci-fi firearm prop demanded finding just the right balance of wrist tension. To deliver dynamic variety across the frames, I alternated between standing, sitting poised upright, and lounging directly on the floor. In truth, the prop gun was noticeably heavier than it appeared; holding it one-handed left my arm muscles firmly clenched, even while maintaining an effortless, haughty composure on my face.

The headdress and makeup were also primary focal points of the series. The floating blue halo over my head was visually striking, but due to lighting angles, I had to continuously micro-adjust the tilt of my head so its luminous glow caught the camera just right. For makeup, I chose bright blue contact lenses accented with subtle crimson under-eye shadow to sharpen the intensity of the gaze. While working out poses with the photographer, I constantly searched for that sweet spot between aloof lethargy and steely composure. For example, sitting in the swivel office chair with legs crossed, resting a finger lightly against my temple or chin—this pose not only highlighted the White stockings and high heels, but also amplified the character's commanding presence. In several selects, I experimented with playful hand gestures or winks to inject a spark of spirited vitality.

We naturally ran into several small hurdles during the shoot. To project her characteristic cool, detached aura, disciplined facial control was crucial: I couldn't smile too sweetly, and my gaze needed a hint of unyielding edge. On set, with dense clusters of black cables and machinery packed closely together, posing seated on the floor meant exercising extra caution to avoid sharp metal edges that could snag the delicate fabrics. The entire lighting scheme prioritized cool color temperatures, harmonizing with the phosphorescent glow of the CRT screens to evoke a cyberpunk mood. To capture different facets of beauty—from sweeping wide establishing shots of the environment to tight close-ups focusing on character and props—camera positions were recalibrated repeatedly. This project demanded significant passion from set construction to styling, and I truly hope this final collection conveys that atmosphere in full.
