This shoot was taken at a real-location European-style plaza, catching a full moon on a stone-paved road just after the rain had cleared. The low-angle upward shot combined with the wide-angle stretch framed Cifera's crouching posture and slender leg contours beautifully into the picture. The most demanding parts of this look lie in the metallic combat boots and the claws on the arms; the weathered and gilded lacquer surfaces required plenty of reflector boards under the night ambient light.

The white hair cosplay look has high recognition, using a strand-pulling technique to avoid stiffness, while the cat ear hood leaves enough support space at the top to secure the wig. The white furry tail has internal wiring combined with external flocking, keeping its fluffy texture while making it convenient to form this curled arc.

The posture referenced the pre-hunting power-gathering action, placing the center of gravity on the front leg with the back leg straightened, while the waist generated force to maintain a straight spine line so it wouldn't look bulky under low-angle shots. For the lightning special effects, I used a cool-toned bottom light during the shoot and overlaid bright yellow lines on the metal surface in post-processing to create a front-to-back echo with the golden chest armor.

The European-style architecture in the scene provided great depth, and the puddles reflected the contours of the full moon and buildings, enriching the image layers quite a lot. Doing this kind of action on rain-slicked flagstones really tests the anti-slip quality of the boot soles, otherwise it's very easy to slip and damage the props. Fortunately, the bottom of the combat boots this time were given a thickened rubber treatment, providing a stable grip.

For the prop details, the claw gloves were cut into pieces and then stitched together, ensuring finger mobility while looking like hard metal. The joints of the long boots used independent ring connections so that when the knees bent, the armor plates could move accordingly without jamming the action. I chose a matte fabric for the clothing to form a contrast with the glossy surface of the armor.

The post-processing color grading leans slightly cool to make the moonlight feel more serene. The trajectory of the yellow lightning was individually drawn using masks, snapping along the contours of the boots and breaking in a few spots to create a dynamic flickering appearance of electric light. This shoot took about four hours, mainly to adjust the position of the tail and correct the ground reflections, and the final cut's posture and accuracy met the expected standards.

Beyond preparing the costume, props, and makeup, the choice of camera angles during the shoot was also very important. Because the character has a tail, side-rear and front-side angles in certain shots could better showcase the completeness of the gear. Regarding the water stains on the ground, I handled them accordingly, retaining part of the reflection while avoiding overly intense specular reflections that would interfere with the main subject's visuals. Overall, this set of photos perfectly fits Cifera's dark night hunter setting in Honkai: Star Rail.

From the final makeup look to real-location adjustments and then post-processing's final tweaks, the overall rhythm was managed quite smoothly. If there are friends who also like this kind of high-contrast gear, you can reference the lighting and ground reflection logic of this set; rainy night shoots make it really easy to bring out layers.
