[Firefly cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Firefly's spring JK Night view cosplay record

Today's set of night views is a style I've always wanted to try. A sailor suit with a plaid skirt, plus white over-the-knee socks, set the overall tone as a cool-toned school style. To make the image texture better, I intentionally added a grayish-blue gradient treatment to the wig, and chose a hairpin style leaning towards a sharper design.

The city lights at night are actually hard to control, especially the large-scale blue LED curtain wall in the background and the distant Ferris wheel; the lighting is very complex. During the shoot, the photographer and I kept looking for angles, trying to make the subject pop out from the background. Fortunately, there was some accumulated water on the floor tiles at the scene, and we immediately decided to use these reflections to enrich the layering of the frame. The white-and-pink bouquet in my hand was temporarily added, and unexpectedly it matched the overall color tone quite well.

In terms of costume details, I actually really like the golden embroidery on this top, which has a subtle reflection under the night lights. Because I had to squat down to hold the bouquet, the pleats of the skirt were pressed quite firmly; matching this standing and squatting posture can showcase the lines of the White stockings and loafers. The handbag was also specially chosen as a vintage Cambridge satchel, adding a bit of everyday life atmosphere so the frame wouldn't look too empty. Many people think it's hard to get good photos shooting at night because the light sources are too mixed, making people's skin look gray easily. My experience is to try to find backlight or side-backlight, and if it's such a large scene, you must make good use of the ground reflections. This time, in order to wait for the water to dry to just the right degree, we stood in the cold wind for a long time. However, this outfit is really suitable for night views; the cool tones highlight the texture of the White stockings and silver hair.

The shooting process was actually quite interesting. Because there was a Ferris wheel and a large LED screen in the background, we tried many different camera positions. The poses in the pictures, such as raising a hand to look at the lens or squatting down holding the flowers, were all discussed temporarily based on the site environment. Especially that squatting posture, which had to consider the folding of the skirt, the angle of the knees, and also balance the exposure of the patterns on the White stockings, is actually quite a test of core strength. The bouquet held in hand had white wrapping paper, which matches the overall costume very well, and the color of the flowers can provide a bit of warmth within the cool tones.

The costume was chosen for a long time; the sailor suit's cut is relatively crisp and can maintain its shape in a breeze. The plaid skirt was also compared in several colors, and finally grayish blue was chosen, echoing the color of the hair ends. White over-the-knee socks are actually quite demanding on leg shapes; for the camera-ready effect, I specially did stretching and relaxation before the shoot to avoid obvious indentations. The shoes were chosen as black thick-soled loafers, which can elongate proportions and are stable for walking, after all, we had to go up and down the steps. In terms of makeup, this time I didn't use overly thick colors, focusing on the eye makeup where blue contact lenses matched with cool-toned lighting didn't look abrupt. Foundation focused on being lightweight, because night view lighting easily exposes powderiness. The three-dimensional styling of the hair accessories is very eye-catching in the camera; although wearing it is a bit heavy, it's still very worth it for the sake of overall accuracy.

To be honest, outdoor night shooting is a test of both physical strength and mindset, especially with people coming and going around, while still having to maintain emotions to get into the state. But when seeing the finished photos, I felt it was all worth it. This kind of background with water stain reflections and city neon lights can well set off the character's sense of loneliness or serenity. I regard this set of pictures as a record of a city night stroll, without too many complex settings, just purely feeling that this outfit and this scene match very well. I hope that when watching, everyone can also feel the tranquility of the city at night.
