Sitting on the chair in this outfit, in front of me is a dining table covered with a dark red tablecloth. Mentioning earlier that it was fun eating with colleagues wasn't just casual talk; although it looks very elegant in the frame, wearing this gear means I have to be exceptionally careful even when reaching for the wine. The chains on the neck, the golden decorations on the shoulders, and this red, white, and gray striped sash—every single piece can easily hook onto the clothes or bump against the edge of the table.
The dark high-collared tunic, the large emblem on the chest, the braided cords, the diamond-shaped ornaments, the sleeves on the arms, and that tied-up dark short hair wig. During the shoot, the light hit my profile perfectly, and the rose bouquet near my hand formed a beautiful harmony with the light from the candlestick. The wine glass you see definitely doesn't contain real wine; after all, I needed to keep a clear head to continue cooperating with the photographer to adjust angles.
When shooting this set of photos, a warm yellow tone was chosen. Combined with the blurred bookshelf and carved wooden chairs in the background, the atmosphere of the entire scene resembles a vintage banquet. It's just that the \"host\" of this banquet, dressed in this unique cape outfit, carries a somewhat formal yet slightly detached temperament, sitting there as if waiting for someone, or perhaps simply enjoying that quiet time belonging to himself.
Someone asked if eating while wearing this wig is inconvenient? It absolutely is. The bangs easily poke into the eyes, and I have to pull my hair up high when eating. So honestly, it really takes some practice to maintain a natural look while holding the glass for a posed shot. However, for the final presentation effect, these minor troubles in the details fade into insignificance before the completed photos.
I am quite satisfied with the lighting this time. The warm-colored light spot cast by the small candlestick on the left is truly beautiful, perfectly outlining the layering at the edges of the wig. At the same time, the red elements on the table, the dark-toned clothing, plus a bit of low-key environment lighting bring out the character's temperament. During the shoot, I could also smell the faint fragrance from the nearby roses, which felt quite wonderful.
In the blink of an eye, we have already entered the second half of 2026. No matter how busy work gets, being able to set aside time to complete a satisfying character photoshoot brings a true sense of accomplishment. There is no need for grand rhetoric to describe my mood at the time; simply showing my understanding of the character and my current state in front of the lens is enough. Every click of the shutter is not only recording the character but also recording a piece of my own memory.
So, sitting before that warm candlelight, the plate actually contains just a simple prop meal, holding a dark drink in hand, feeling the silence of this moment, as well as that unspoken rapport of the partners getting ready behind the lens. This is my current state of life—stealing a moment of leisure from a busy schedule to give myself a piece of time to seriously enjoy 2D Game cosplay.
