[Ganyu Cosplay] Frost Under the Moon: Genshin Impact Sisters Double Photography

This time, Qinmo and I shot this set of Genshin Impact Ganyu and Shenhe double event photos. When setting up the scene, we decided to use a dark, cool-toned color scheme paired with a massive full moon, combined with the Ancient style bamboo lanterns and cherry blossom branches beside us to create that quiet, deep, moonlit atmosphere.

Let's talk about the costume details first. Ganyu's light blue and white color scheme, combined with a red bow tie, over-the-knee white socks, and plush-textured cuffs, shows a highly translucent texture under the cool lights. Shenhe's outfit features a mix of deep blue and white, with black gloves paired with large white plush details on the arms, along with a semi-translucent skirt design, looking cool and dashing. Before the shoot, we spent quite a bit of time adjusting the neatness of the wigs and costumes, especially the direction of the tassels and the fit of the stockings, striving to leave no flaws in the final photos.

During the shoot, what mattered most was actually the sense of interaction between the two of us. Although the setting emphasizes a deep sisterly bond, we had to precisely handle a distance that felt both unforced and intimate during performance. For instance, in one scene, I held a folding fan slightly in front of both of us, which, combined with our eye contact, added a hazy narrative feel to the frame. The posture of leaning closer to each other in the second image is the one I am most satisfied with; the composition forms a stable triangle while beautifully displaying the leg lines and the high slit design of the clothing—both preserving the character's cool demeanor and balancing the visual grace of the frame.

We also made quite a few attempts at the light and shadow arrangement for this shoot. The huge moon in the top left corner served as the main background light, illuminating the characters' silhouettes, while the warm-toned lantern in the bottom right corner acted as foreground ambient light, casting faint warm reflections on the cheeks and leg edges of the figures. This created a hot-and-cold contrast that made the characters look more three-dimensional. This professional studio-level lighting allowed the final photos to have an excellent artistic conception without needing too much post-processing color grading.

After the final photos came out, we were both highly satisfied. This double creation beautifully recreated the static beauty of the characters in a specific setting, while also documenting our unspoken chemistry in front of the lens. It was a wonderful experience of exploring this unique cosplay style together.
