I prepared this highly atmospheric look for Rea Sanka from Fabrication, which truly suits the character's inherent cool temperament. Using a garden in full bloom with Hydrangeas as the location, the faint melancholy and summer tranquility blended perfectly under the lens, fitting the mood of "infinite summer as Hydrangeas bloom" perfectly. To accurately restore Rea Sanka's gaze, I repeatedly adjusted my subtle expressions during the shoot, striving to convey the character's delicate inner emotions in every photo. The texture of this outfit is truly outstanding, especially the drape of the skirt and that exquisite blue bow, which added great layers amidst the shifting light and shadow. Many friends asked about this makeup style; I actually went for a "cool and transparent" route, wanting to show a hint of alienation amidst the bright summer light and shadow. Although the shooting conditions were physically demanding due to the weather, seeing the dreamlike visual effects in the final shots made all the sweat worth it. This process of drawing inspiration from the character and transforming it into visual language is the part of Cosplay photography I enjoy the most. I hope this visual presentation can resonate with you, capturing that Summer vibe.
