This grassland outdoor photoshoot was set on a late autumn outdoor lawn, with golden trees and bare branches in the background, paired with emerald green grass and a rustic wooden fence, creating a very natural outdoor camping atmosphere. Shooting colorful clothing in such an environment makes it easy to get great results with light and depth of field.
Regarding this outfit, the large teal bow on the chest paired with a golden bell is the soul of the entire look. Every time I walk or sit down, the bell gently sways. Combined with the various folds, white lace edges, and colorful plaid elements on the clothes, the sense of layering is extremely rich. The wig features a light blonde double-braid style, and the fluffy white animal ears headpiece along with the big fluffy white tail behind adds a touch of softness and playfulness to the overall temperament.
A very interesting interlude happened during the shoot that day. I was posing in front of the wooden fence following the photographer's guidance, when suddenly a group of passing kindergarten children gathered around. Among them, a little girl with a red bow stood about two meters away from me, staring intently, completely unable to move away. After a little while, she silently pulled a pink smartwatch out of her pocket, opened the camera interface, stood on her tiptoes, and started clicking the shutter towards me. I was incredibly amused by her serious attempt to take pictures, and to cooperate with her, I directly paused the main photographer's rhythm, turned around, and flashed a peace sign at her smartwatch.
The official photographer in charge of the shoot happened to be squatting right in front of me looking for a low camera angle. When he looked up, he found a small silhouette in pink occupying his viewfinder, and joked on the spot, "Where is my spot?" Everyone, including the nearby passersby, couldn't help laughing out loud. Although my camera spot was hijacked by the child, being purely liked by a kid feels genuinely healing, which can be considered a special form of "high recognition."
In addition to the official photos, my own phone also recorded a lot of behind-the-scenes moments. For example, her back while taking photos (which is the BTS picture everyone sees) and the moments of our interaction. These unexpected, random events are often much more vivid than rigid, standard posing. Although the wind was a bit chilly during the shoot, the thickness and layers of the costume kept me quite warm while wearing it. The skirt has several layers: the outermost is a white lace overskirt, the middle is a yellow plaid pattern, and the bottom layer is pieced together with blue plaid bows. This rich layering looks great in casual snapshots on the grass.
The shoes chosen were beige Mary Jane block heels paired with white ruffled socks, maintaining a good unity with the outfit's color scheme. Throughout the Cosplay photography session, I felt the workmanship and cut of this maid outfit were very well executed; the shoulders and sleeves had great structure without feeling flimsy, offering good body inclusivity for the coser. Although the photographer joked about "losing his spot," this set of shooting records filled with childlike innocence and natural vibes has instead become my most memorable outdoor experience recently. I hope these ramblings about clothing details and shooting anecdotes can let everyone feel the unique charm of this styling.
