To capture that Atmosphere of "The night is beautiful, even if it is dangerous," the shooting of this Evernight set had to be very particular. As the focus of this shoot, I hoped to use the contrast between light and shadow to highlight the unique temperament of the character in the quiet night—a mix of mystery and danger. In actual shooting, the red patterned umbrella became the visual focus, forming a strong visual tension with the slightly oppressive industrial-style background. This clash of red and black is precisely meant to echo the character's complex emotions.
Regarding costume details, I communicated repeatedly with the team, striving to restore the texture of every cut and material. Especially the distribution of black and red colors must present a gorgeous yet restrained layering from different angles. To pursue the best dynamics, we repeatedly adjusted the sitting posture and the tilt angle of the umbrella, and even to capture that flash of red light, we repeatedly adjusted the lighting position on the set until the light and shadow could just outline the lines of the hair.
The core of this work lies in "balance"—the balance between danger and beauty. Every final photo is an ultimate pursuit of this Atmosphere. During the shooting process, I kept thinking about how to make the character not just wear the clothes, but truly integrate into this tense space. I hope that when you see the photos, you can also feel that dangerous beauty beating in the deep night, and see that soul appearing and disappearing under the moonlight.
