Sitting on the blue plastic stand and holding a sports drink that echoed the color palette of the outfit, my state in front of the lens naturally relaxed. The main parts of this Blue Archive stadium sporty style cosplay set were shot at an indoor stadium in Nanning. This scene was chosen because the large areas of blue seats and grey-blue metal railings beautifully clash to create a fresh, cool-toned visual feel.
To recreate the sporty student vibe of this character, some thought went into the outfit coordination. The overall color scheme is primarily blue and white, featuring a white T-shirt with light blue trim, deep blue athletic shorts, and white over-the-knee socks. On top, a loose white, blue, and black color-blocked athletic jacket was layered. During the shoot, depending on the movements, I could decide whether to leave the jacket open or casually tie it around my waist, allowing for two different athletic states to be showcased. The silver-grey wig paired with light-colored animal ear accessories, plus the custom light blue halo—fixing these head elements actually heavily tested the technical skills of the support assistant, but fortunately, the final effect turned out very natural without any sense of mismatch.
The shoot that day took place during Nanning's summer. Although the stadium interior provided shelter, walking back and forth in the venue wearing a long-sleeved jacket and long socks made the perceived temperature quite high. Fortunately, the photographer knew exactly how to utilize the ambient light; the scattered light filtering down from the top fell very evenly across my face. In post-processing, the tone was intentionally leaned towards low-saturation cool colors. The stuffy heat originally brought by the high temperature was turned into a refreshing athletic vitality in the final photos instead.
In terms of pose design, we didn't pursue overly exaggerated postures, but rather clung closer to the character's daily relaxed vibe. For instance, leaning on the railing and looking back at the camera—this angle not only elongated my silhouette but also allowed the blue seats in the background to form a beautiful depth-of-field blur. The few candid shots sitting on the stand were also very natural; zoning out slightly while drinking water, or pressing the sports drink against my cheek to rest, instantly brought out that everyday feel of hydrating after exercise. The blue drink in my hand can be called the soul prop of this set of pictures, as its color was highly synchronized with the overall environment.
Actually, when shooting this kind of stadium-themed cosplay, the core point is how to blend the character into this everyday scene. It shouldn't look like an intentional posed shoot; rather, it needs that sense of reality of having just finished a workout or resting during a club activity break. Thanks to the photographer's precise control over the rhythm of dynamic candid shooting, we quickly completed composition switches across several different seating areas. The blue stand and the cool-toned outfits complemented each other perfectly. The entire finished photo set contains no complex post-processing special effects; relying purely on clean light, shadow, and unified color coordination, it managed to recreate the character's temperament perfectly. After finishing this set, my clothes inside were completely drenched in sweat when I took off the jacket, but seeing the refreshing blue tones in the final photos made me feel that this high-intensity effort for accurate recreation was totally worth it.
