[Sangonomiya Kokomi Cosplay] Dreamy Water-Colored Bunny Outfit: Interpreting a Unique Playful Charm

This Kokomi bunny cosplay look for Sangonomiya Kokomi is finally edited and ready! For this shoot, I chose a highly recognizable doujin bunny design, putting significant effort into everything from wig color selection to costume tailoring. The wig features a gradient transition from soft pink at the crown down to pale blue-violet mist at the ends, matching the character's gentle demeanor in both texture and color layering. For headwear, the iconic bunny ears use a pink-and-purple dual-color panel design with plush inner lining to give the ears a fluffy appearance, adorned at the base with pearl tassel pendants and blue blossoms that cleverly fuse Watatsumi Island elements with bunny girl flair.

Costume tailoring was the main highlight of this shoot. The upper body incorporates an off-shoulder white ruffled design, with voluptuous sleeve gathers adding visual volume for a light, dreamy aesthetic. The deep blue tie-up choker at the neck serves as the visual focus; three pearl buckles studded on the front and a gemstone pendant below echo her Hydro element characteristics in Genshin Impact. Rather than simple white tulle, the skirt features a pale purple satin fabric embossed with water-ripple jacquard patterns, combined with multi-layered white lace trim and pleated linings inside so the skirt maintains both elegant drape and fluffiness. To capture this multi-layered look, the photographer paid close attention to motion—such as in photo 2 where my forward-reaching pose allows the skirt to display a natural, wind-blown arch.

For makeup, pale purple contact lenses served as the finishing touch, with eyeshadow blended in purple-pink tones while emphasizing eyelashes and eyeliner for a focused gaze. To match the sweet tone of the costume, a glossy orange-red lip color was selected for a clean, fresh countenance. During shooting, I expressed the character's versatility through varied body language—such as the prone composition in image 1. Gently resting my chin on one hand, the contrast of white gloves on a white plush blanket, guided by the choker, emphasized her soft tenderness. Meanwhile, image 2 used a subtle forward lean and reaching hand, paired with white thigh-high stockings, highlighting leg silhouettes and overall layer structure. The small pink ribbon bows on the white thigh-highs added a lovely maidenly touch.

As for the environment, we used soft blue-violet studio lighting. Background elements featured plain light blue drapes and wrought-iron lattice screens, complemented by white artificial flowers and sheer tulle to cultivate a serene, crystalline atmosphere. Although a pair of red-soled heels is visible in the background of image 1, it adds a touch of lived-in playfulness to the scene. Lighting design combined front key lights with lateral Rembrandt lighting to enhance translucent skin textures while highlighting pearl accessories and satin sheen. Although maintaining stable poses and pristine skirt folds required intense patience, seeing the finished results made every effort worthwhile.

As an exploration under the Genshin Impact Creator Incentive Program, this Doujin cosplay set doesn't aim to duplicate game 3D models perfectly, but rather to showcase another lively, playful side of her through this stylized bunny variant Anime-style photography. Wig strands frequently caught on the choker or outfit, requiring assistant combing between takes. Retouching remained restrained to preserve natural skin texture, finely tuning ambient light and skin tones so post-processing wouldn't overshadow original costume details. Blending her innate composed wisdom with the sweetness of a bunny outfit created a delightful contrast that was the core message of this shoot. As a cosplayer, interpreting beloved characters in my own voice and freezing these moments through the lens is profoundly fulfilling. I hope this collection allows viewers to feel that we aren't just recreating characters, but crafting a beautiful dream dedicated to her.
