[Nahida Cosplay] Dendro Sprite Beneath the Summer Tree Shade

Getting the final photos back from the Children's Day Nahida Outdoor cosplay shoot at last! Shooting in the summer park wearing this white, green, and gold dress was a bit muggy, but seeing the final result makes everything feel totally worth it.

As for the wig, I specifically trimmed layered textures this time; the green gradient at the tips is my favorite part. Because the character's setting is inherently light and airy, I adjusted the wig layers so that when the wind blows, the green tips flutter gracefully. The base of the wig was gathered neatly, working with the leaf-like head decorations to make the sprite feel of the character even more authentic in Cosplay photography.

Next are the elf ears. The silicone prosthetic ears used this time were applied at the base of my ears. Although gluing them required great caution, the result turned out seamless without looking awkward, complementing the overall Elf ear wig look.

Regarding fabric selection, to fit the character's setting, I chose lightweight fabric with nice drape for the skirt. The vine patterns on the white skirt base were custom prints, not simple transfers. The black and dark green splicing at the neckline and shoulders was exquisitely executed, with golden lace trim softly reflecting under outdoor sunlight, adding layer upon layer to the outfit.

As for footwear styling, I intentionally skipped conventional shoes this time, opting instead for a half-wrapped leg guard design with a white base and golden straps. The top of the leg guards featured leaf-like cutouts, lightly stiffened inside to maintain structural three-dimensionality while walking. While open-toed wear easily gets dusty, it was completely worth it to maintain that nature-loving lightness in the character design.

For shooting, we selected a shaded park pathway. The photographer used a wide aperture to blur the background, turning green leaves and tree shadows along both sides into soft green bokeh patches, perfectly fitting the Dendro element visual feel.

In terms of pose design, a posture leaning forward with arms extending backward was adopted. This move actually tested core strength, requiring balance and a low center of gravity while keeping facial expressions relaxed. It took several tries to capture this natural mid-air freeze-frame effect, with the skirt swaying gracefully and naturally.

For makeup, a clean base was chosen with focus on the eyes. Earth-tone eyeshadow was used as a base alongside slightly upturned eyeliner and reddish-brown contact lenses, giving my gaze a gentle yet slightly inscrutable look. Blush was kept light to create a translucent, forest-sprite texture.

Some small props were actually prepared for this shoot, such as a small book, but to match this forward dynamic pose, pure body interaction without props was ultimately chosen, focusing on costume tailoring and environmental color coordination.

The photographer did great in capturing light. Natural light around 4 PM filtered through leaves onto me, creating a translucent contrast of warm and cool tones, keeping white parts of the outfit from overexposing while preserving fabric texture details.

All in all, the most interesting part of cosplaying every time is drawing closer to that fictional character through costume, makeup, hair, and body language. This photo records a relatively complete moment of that process. There are still other pose photos coming; I'll share them once sorted. This is just one of the more dynamic shots from this shoot, and I hope the feeling presented aligns with my understanding of Genshin Impact's Nahida.
