[Sangonomiya Kokomi cosplay] Genshin Impact maid outfit, Traveler, let me protect you

This time shooting Sangonomiya Kokomi's maid outfit, the costume put a lot of thought into the details. The dark blue off-the-shoulder top is spliced with translucent tulle, the blue gem and purple tassel accessories on the chest are the visual center of the entire outfit, and the white-and-blue apron and multi-layered pleated skirt hem also restore the design setting as much as possible. The wig is a part that needs key processing, grading from peach pink at the top to light blue-gray at the ends, and it also needs to be styled into two small buns, paired with a purple bow and yellow tassels, instantly bringing out the layering of the entire styling.

The studio photoshoot day used a pure white background and a cylindrical display stand; the photographer @Alarak put effort into the lighting arrangement, and the even and bright lighting makes the fabric texture and color transition of the costume clearly visible. The first set of poses is kneeling, with hands crossed on the thighs; this posture is relatively restrained, looking more dignified in front of the lens, but kneeling for a long time really makes the knees and ankles ache a bit. The second set of poses changed to a side-sitting posture, with one leg stretched forward and the other leg bent and tucked, one hand gently resting on the platform, and the other hand raised outwards. To make the skirt hem and floating hair ends present a natural lightness, I needed to control the arc of my arms and fingers while keeping my core engaged; the skirt hem unfolds accordingly, and the outline of the white stockings is also displayed more completely.

After putting on this maid outfit, I kept thinking about how to express Kokomi's gentle yet protective traits through body language. The phrase mentioned in the post description, "Traveler, let me protect you," is actually the core emotion I want to convey in the photos. Therefore, in the dynamic shot of picture two, I tried to use an outward-expanding gesture and a slightly leaning forward gaze to embody a feeling of stepping forward proactively rather than waiting passively. Keeping the gaze as calm as possible, matched with the bright blue contact lenses, I hope it can reveal a bit of her own firmness.

During shooting breaks, I was also tidying up the wrinkles of the costume; the ruffles on the cuffs and the ribbons on the chest all needed careful adjustment to avoid looking messy in the lens. The material of the white stockings is relatively slippery, making them easy to slide down when sitting cross-legged, so they needed to be re-flattened every time I changed poses. Combined with the wig, the overall wearing feel of this outfit is quite tight, but it is precisely this wrapping feeling that allowed me to more clearly perceive the character's presence when posing. The finished photos came out very clean, with two different sitting postures showing the quiet and dynamic sides respectively, counting as a very complete presentation.
